19-year-old college student Dexter Davenport was born superhuman, but all he ever wanted was to a live a quiet, normal life. But that was thrown out the window when the end of the world happened. People started obtaining video game-like powers, including Dexter, in order to combat the hordes of monster that were appearing on Earth. He never thought he'd live through the apocalypse, but now that he is, the end of the world is just another day.
