Description
Before the Great Lakes were pathways to the new world, a young girl named Ziibi walked the earth with Mikwam. No one could see this wolf but her. Even though she was too young to choose the one who would be by her side, she knew Ajijak would grow old with her. The only threat to her future was her older sister, Miinan. Ajijak was in love with Miinan, but Miinan wished only friendship from the cursed Ajijak.

- HumunculusCrowRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5It is a coming of age history but it goes a bit deeper than most common coming of age story, it deals with themes that are more adult, like father/motherhood, fitting in society, and other more mature themes. Another thing that i like about this story it is that depicts teenager-hood more realistic than other fictions, the awkwardness, the hesitation, the horniness, all of those things.
In this story the supernatural/religious experiences are described in a very interesting way, the scenes have a sense of profoundness and spirituality that is not very common.
And for last the grammar is alright there is some typos here and there but it was mostly minor. The one thing that could be done better are the POV and the transitions between POV. In certain instances they are not clear. There are some passages that is not clear who is feeling what or who is talking but these passages are very few and are mostly located in the first 15-20 chapters.
