Volume 1: Wraithscale is now available onAmazonandAudible

Alt title: How to Dragon 101

Kill. Eat. Evolve. Repeat.

Jade was born wrong, as a magicless half-beastkin in a world ruled by power.

After a failed elven ritual traps her in a monster-filled dungeon, restraint stops mattering. She wakes up with scales, wings, and a body that grows stronger with every kill. The hunt feels good. Almost too good.

The only catch is that she’s becoming a dragon, in mind and body.

To escape, Jade must climb the dungeon’s food chain, indulging the instincts she spent her life suppressing, or die as prey. After all, humanity is optional. Survival isn’t.

What to expect:

- A monster evolution system, with Skills, Magic and Mutations- This is a weak to strong story and Protagonist needs to sharpen her skills instead of just making numbers go up.- Combat, power-ups, unique skills and mutation merges for powerful abilities

The Dragon Heir: A Monster Evolution/Progression is one of those stories you pick up thinking, “I’ll just read a chapter,” and then suddenly it’s 3 AM, and you’re ravenously clicking “Next.” Seriously, it’s that good. The pacing is spot-on, the world-building is rich without being overwhelming, and the protagonist’s journey is one you just can’t help but root for.
Each chapter feels like a perfectly baked cookie—satisfying, addictive, and leaving you immediately craving the next. It’s the kind of story where you devour one update in minutes and then spend the rest of the wait daydreaming about what’s coming next. The monster evolution and progression vibes are strong, keeping things fresh and exciting as the stakes get higher and higher, even if it's interspersed with cliffhangers here and there.
What really hooks you is the balance—intense moments of tension, bursts of triumph, and just enough mystery to keep you guessing. It’s fun, it’s fast-paced, and it’s packed with all the juicy fantasy goodness you didn’t know you needed.
Bottom line: if you’re into progression fantasy or just want a wildly entertaining read, The Dragon Heir will have you hooked. I’m counting the days until the next chapter drops—because, let’s be honest, once you start, you can’t stop. I couldn't at least.

Im loving this fiercely its a fun world where the advancements are to look forwards to. If I had to pick something I would change, it would be the repetitiveness of some subjects. Like Lottes stubbornness or explaining a skill in her mind while the new skill description is right in front of her. It just seems like a poor use of word count and makes me want to skip the chapters until she decides. Everything else-- totally enjoying.

The story starts a a great spot in MC’s life. Context and exposition set the plot line up for a myriad of outcomes. I cannot wait for more of this to come out and I am looking forward to all of it.

I signed up for an account, because of this novel.
A phenomenal work. The main character is fun, sassy and shows a human side to the inhuman suffering, thoughts and problems. She is funny, engaging and dare I say "Aggresively Bri'ish" . The flow if the story is perfect, it easily and flows, using advanced sentance structure, gramer and other literay effects to maintain a constant flow that engages amd sucks you in.
The stat blocks are nicely spread, not used as filler, and provide engaging progression. While the evolution of her progress in entertaining and on point.
I am aware I am rather vague and that's to avoid any spoilers. But honestly the only thing I could ever have wanted more from this, is polls, it's been fun for me to read the various choices she is presented with, and pick what I would go for, and what I think she would, and how often I get it wrong.
    Now for a breakdown.
    Style.
5/5, the story is engaging, and while it follows the genre well, it has subtle changes and nuances that are highly enjoyable.  The writing style has flow and structure that is a pleasure to read.

    regrettable? I wanna give more.
its amazing. Honestly. Jade is engaging, witty and fun. The world is fleshed and feels alive, with just enough info sprinkled in to never feel bothersome.  I am still within the first 100 chapters or so, but thus far, i adore the story.
    grammar
    5/5
ok. Admittedly I am far from an expert. But i find the story easy to read, well spaced and without any jarring wordig or structure i often find. So 5/5

I love her. Jade is great, the other mentions are all living characters, showing complex emotions and thoughts that give subtle hints and flavour to the story.
Finally. Fantasied work by the author, and truly deserving of a high rating

the world building is really solid, it feels like the world is holding many deeper and darker truths, like there's just so much to go on from here on out, I can see this one going for a long time
and although it's a LitRPG it's not just numbers all the time there's a lot of story going on between the numbers lol
the story has good pace, nothing feels forced it feels natural, all in all very good story progression so far.
    I'd highly recommend reading.

MC stats of slow and takes a while before transforming. But it gives her character good depth.
This also lets you see the change of thought pattern before and after transformation.
The Deus ex machina could be introduced earlier. This way it almost feels that it is just there to solve plot problems.

I do not like writing or typing, but I love reading.
This is a wonderful tale. I love the slang, remind me of a lot of englander words I have heard on YouTube, different, but far from off putting. The story so far is wonderful. There are choices the character makes that I would not...but this is not my story, this is her story. Please keep up the good work.
    Oh, and, DRAGONS!

It was a bit of a slow start, but the story got its hook into me properly now!
    Style:
The style of this story is different then most other stories i have read, which is a nice change of pace. Not always my cup of tea but overal a very nice change up from the usual. I especially like the evolution chapters with her alternate persona.
    Story:
The build up of the story is going great, a few bits an pieces here and the rest gets clearer the further we get into the story. Very well done, no extensive information dump chapters but a genuine build up in line with the story progression.
    Grammar:
No issues here! The story is smooth as can be.
    Character:
The character is inquisitive, easy going but has a bad streak. I had a bit of trouble following the MC in the early chapters. But since the dungeon days, I am all onboard with the MC and like the way the progresses and her thought processes. Hopefully we get more into the magic development with her dream memories helping her unlock advanced magic at an earlier stage than most.
So to summarise the review of this lovely novel, I would recommend all readers to give this a try and get submerged into this wonderfull story! I love it and hope the story continues to be entertaining and fun! Let the lightning dragon rule!

The first is introduction to the character and the world, this is fairly well done. There is a moment that makes you question the sanity of the MC, but with more context later on, it does fit. *shrug* (trying to avoid spoiler)
Anyway, the writing style is fun, the monster evo crawl is fun, the magic is fun!
One of the few(along with Chrysalis(the ant one, not the HFY short story)) that had me engaged with the plot outside of the hyperbolic chamber that is the usual Kill>Consume>Evolve>Kill etc.
