My second book in this series,Bloom Upon Bones, is currently ongoing–and I actually recommend skipping this first one. It’s not necessary to understand the events in book two. Much of the magic system here wasn’t fully developed, as this was more of a learning project. If you still want to read this book, take the magic with a grain of salt and just focus on the story instead.
