  I made the one mistake of reading this story before realizing there was a previous novel, which I will now have to go back and read.
  The world is vibrant with a magical culture unique from more mundane society, yet even beyond this are other even more mysterious things such as the shadow lands, they have another name but I cannot think of it at the moment, and great evils that are seeking to take control.
  This story takes off fairly quickly and doesn't slow down. This is where I take of the half star as it would have been nice to have a bit more build up right now every scene leads from one important moment to the next each having their own revelation instead of giving the characters time to breath. This is of course all personal opinion and someone else could think it was to slow for all I know.
  In the end this is a fun story that kept me engaged with its mystery and magic. Each chapter is exciting and leaves me eager for the next release.
