- BookwormRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great story so far Keep it going and ignore the idiots and haters.
- IhateeverythingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A delightingly lighthearted novel. It has great grammer, and the protagonist is a little OP, but we have already met at least 3 people who are stronger than him.
if slice of life is your thing, you should definitly read. Even if it isn’t, give it a try. I actually don’t like slice of life, but found it quite good anyway. - GromboneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Strong characters and a beautiful world surround this story at every turn, keep it going, dude. This website needs stories like yours.
- MadKingRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story has a great beginnings. I Truely hope this story goes on. Please
Quasieludo dont leave us we all need more stories like this. - CrydenRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5(As of chapter 25) Great story so far! I'm really enjoying everything. There is some switching of showing/telling a bit, but it just feels like the author is finding their stride. Grammar is nearly perfect. Perspective switches I feel come a bit too often. Characters are charming, but very flat as of yet. It's still early on, but I still don't have a solid feel for even the MC yet. Once his raison d etre is revealed I feel it'll get much better.
Overall I'm very excited to read more! - SpiralBakaRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Spoiler: Spoiler
Title: The Crystal Forest
Genre: Fantasy, Action, Adventure, Romance (?)
Protagonist: A guy, a former Air Force member. strength of B class, skill of C class (maybe B), equipment of either A or S class. with a unique skill of interdimensional storage.
Setting: a fantasy world with all sort of races and magic. no dungeon and no human (as far as I know), the mc is viewed as some other race.
Tension Level: low-medium
Basic Premise: the protagonist got the power of mana and a portal to another world opened. he prepared to go to the other world by buying all sort of things and storing them in his storage. after three years he is ready to go.
Chapter Content: how the protagonist interacted with all sorts of people, how he use his items and equipment to make the journey and battle easy and convenient.
Chapter Reached: 24
Personal Opinion: good, but something feels wrong. I guess it's just not good enough (the writing skill I mean). but I like the story and the characters. I'll give it 4 stars - motoshead89Royal Road★★★★ 4.0This story has some original ideas which breath some fresh air into RRL. The interactions between Valen and Lin are joyful and heartwarming and the blending of modern stuff into the fantasy setting is done with a tongue-in-cheek self-awareness.
However, the cast of 'side' characters seems to get more screen time than our main duo. This results in a disjointed feel to the story as the author introduces a large number of side plots in a very short space of time, some of which seem to have very little to do with the main character. - underlord2132Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Reminds me a lot of the JP novel "Death March", but few more serious elements in there. That style of story definitely isn't for everyone, but i'm a decent fan. Essentially we have a transported protagonist in a fantasy world who is OP and makes friends easy. He goes around making people get amazed at all the shit he knows about and can do. Nice, easy reading. (althought the villains are obviously massive assholes, so be slightly warned about that)
The story is simple, and focuses on our protagonist with a few side POV's. It's coherent and there's a good attempt to flesh out a world. Characters (so far) are relatively straight forward and simple (which fits in the story). Grammar has a few mistakes but is overall good.
So far, i'm impressed. Worth your time to check out the first few chapters and see if it's your sorta thing. - SolyomRoyal Road★★★ 3.0All in all, a good read.
Style:
Waaaaaaaay too much POV changes. I personally don't mind these (usually), but in this story, there are so much, that it becomes disturbing. There are some other issues, but I find those less annoying.
An other thing is I don't really like stories in present tense, but it just a personal preference.
Story:
Not outstanding, but solid, there is a lot of potential. Could be really good over time.
Grammar:
Dear writer. Please, for the sake of god, learn the difference between "your" and "you're". The first means that something is your property. The second is a shorter version of "you are". The writer always use your. It's terribly annoying. Other than that, not much problems.
Characters:
All of them are pretty much one-dimensional. Maybe with time, we will know more of them? The ONLY characters who showed any kind of development are: a side character, who was in 3 or 4 chapters, and from an a**hole, he became a competent general, and an other side character, though a bit more important, who started as an arrogant b**ch, and as of lately, learnt a bit of humility. - HaterbaiterRoyal Road★★★ 2.5I will update this in the future (the current chapter is 21)
I'm going to start off by saying that I'm oddly attracted to this strange mess of storytelling. I don't know why, but I've managed to stay with this ever since the first chapter came out and plan on continuing to read this. I do NOT hate this, so please do not take this review as hate! If I didn't want the writer to improve, then I would've simply left an anonymous review.
Style:
This is an interesting take on the "transported to another world" genre, and I like that he got the ability to prepare for his transport, that's pretty unique as far as this genre goes. With that out of the way, this is still an isekai and suffers from all of the many tropes involved in making an isekai.
There is a huge planet of the hats involved with the Radonians, and I recall commenting this and you responding that this isn't the case, but I'm going to leave this here until I'm sure that it truly isn't the case. Basically, a planet of the hats is where all the people in a nation, or all of the people in a race, do one thing. For example, all dwarves are miners (not in this novel, but it's a common and stupid trope), this leads to an unsustainable economy and incredible dependence on other races and is not realistic AT ALL.
I also commented this, and I'm not sure if you've resolved this or not, but diamonds are intrinsically worthless (I commented with Tzebruh, an account I deleted, but you commented that you saw it so...) and you should replace the resource he gets rich off to something else.
Lin get's used to the otherworldly technology WAY to fast.
You talk about a girl getting raped, and I think that it shouldn't be in the same story as a catgirl hugging a Pikachu. They sort of don't go together and take away from the other.
Grammar:
Don't use, "ROAAOAOOAOAR" or verbalize any sound effects. Simply say:
'The worm screeched.' or 'The wold growled menacingly' (I commented this as well but the page I commented on wasn't changed
