You should give it a try, and you won't regret it. This is come from someone who isn't familiar with the source material past trailers and adverts. And to it's credit I didn't feel lost, because the author did a job writing it so you don't need to fall back on previous knowledge from the source material to enjoy it. The characters are endearing and I especially adore the protagonist, enjoying her earnest efforts to bring her family closer and making things better.

I'm personally okay with the character telling people she's from a different world so long as she can determine their trustworthiness. The fact that she kidnapped herself to the an unknown actor and then blabbed about her status was so absurd it hurt. Another commenter said it would've been better if she claimed she was a dreamer and I agree this is far more believable then sharing that she reincarnated. I would have preferred she shared her status with her family then some random person.
Outside of this frustrating section, there are a couple of grammatical errors throughout the novel but nothing that would necessarily be Book ending. Try it if the above doesn't bother you, don't if you may find this annoying.
