Just the title alone is gold. First arcs start off strong. I’m looking forward to see how this keeps going and whether author can keep up the quality without it getting repetitive. That is my only concern that the novelty wears off. Honestly, I think this would be a great one for Netflix short series.

the one point I might disagree with is the horror. while this story does an excellent job of being a horror story, it tickles the sadist in me more than my fear response.
that might just be the dungeon core angle, but I'm loving it regardless.
the following is a bunch of chat GPT nonsense to get over the word limit:
The story in question is truly captivating, immersing readers in a world filled with a great atmosphere and suspense. From the very beginning, it hooks the audience with its intriguing narrative and holds their attention throughout.
However, while the story excels at creating a horror ambiance, it may evoke different responses in readers. Personally, I found myself more enthralled by the dark and sadistic elements rather than experiencing pure fear. Perhaps the unique perspective provided by the dungeon core angle contributes to this intriguing dynamic. Despite this, the story manages to deliver a thrilling experience that keeps me thoroughly engaged.
The author masterfully constructs a sense of anticipation and tension, skillfully utilizing suspense to propel the plot forward. Every twist and turn in the story leaves readers yearning for more, constantly questioning what lies ahead. It is in these moments of uncertainty that the true brilliance of the narrative shines through.
Additionally, the author's ability to tap into the sadistic tendencies within readers is commendable. While the story might not evoke sheer terror, it successfully stirs a sense of morbid fascination, igniting a peculiar pleasure in exploring the darker aspects of the tale.
Overall, this remarkable story effortlessly combines an exceptional atmosphere, suspenseful storytelling, and a unique horror angle that may not strike fear directly, but instead enthralls with its sadistic allure. It is a testament to the author's talent in crafting a compelling narrative that captivates readers on multiple levels, creating an

TLDR: Arc 1 is incredible, but arc 2 is only decent. 5/5 worth reading. The Cabin is Always Hungry is about a dungeon core on earth created after a semi-botched satanic ritual. The dungeon core then proceeds to grow -- as all cores tend to do -- and enact vengence on those that turned him into a core in the first place. As of writing, this book has 2 arcs and they are not the same. The first is marvelous. it is a masterclass in pacing and tension that would look right at home on a BnN bookshelf. If you are an author, I recommend studying what HoppyCobalt has done here. I can spot only a few mistakes -- if you can even call them that. In one, the author loses confidence in their foreshadowing which leads to a segment with clumsy, redundant exposition. The other...well. It's irrelevant. On Royal Road, this arc is beyond 5/5. Well worth reading all on its own.Arc 2, however, is bog standard Royal Road mediocrity.Arc 2 feels rushed, poorly planned, or both. Unlike arc 1, arc 2 does not appear to have a villain. There is no beautiful interweaving of moral and physical conflict that resolve in tandem to form a satisfying conclusion. In fact, the arc is literally a side quest, written out in detail, with a relatively obvious conclusion. As such, the arc falls flat. The arc iteslf isn't useless or terribly bad. A future arc is set up. More worldbuilding information is shared. The core grows his dungeon and the monster's personalities are expanded upon. Based on Royal Road standards, the arc is acceptable. Interesting enough to read and a solid 4/5 stars if I where to rate it on its own. This only bears mentioning because of the discrepency between the arcs.Overall, 5/5 stars. Worth reading and I look forward to where the story takes us.

Minor spoilers ahead. It's a fresh take on the dungeon core genre, making it take place on Earth which has no magic of its own is wonderful.Love the action pumped feeling, especially from the point of view of the chasers and 'villains'.Characters are quite well fleshed out. Enjoyable to witness these arcs.A promised expanded universe.Would love to keep reading.

Firstly, I'm going to apologize now.. I'm a terrible reviewer... But this story is amazing and I've loved it every step of the way.The premise is creative and well executed. To me this story reads like "Cabin in the woods" movie felt. You have a lot of horror elements but get to see so much of the "behind the scenes" that you feel more like one of the staff than one of the victims. If you enjoy Horror films, or stories, and enjoy the Dungeon formula to even a tiny degree this will work wonderfully for you!

This is my first review so sorry if it is not that helpful.
This story did not start out how I thought it would based off of the discription but it turned out very well. First off, I will cover the the easy stuff. I did not see any Grammer or spelling mistakes but the author might have fixed them by the time I read this far. The story is so far very easy to follow but this is just the beginning and there is lots of room to grow. As for the characters (there might be some spoilers here) they are in my opinion pretty accurate, especially his for monster, it is just what I think a demon would actually be. As for my favorite part, the style, I would say it is beautiful but the descriptions are so good you can not say this is anything but a horror story. This is not for the faint of heart. One last thing I love about this story is the passeing. It nevery really stalls which is very hard to do considering the time given to character building and discriptions. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who thinks they can handle it.

I didn't think that I'd like a dungeon core novel set in modern earth as much as this, tbh, but this is kinda really good. I like how he's following cultural norms that he's familiar with instead of building a hole in the ground full of goblins or something, but having just one scenario is only going to limit him going forward. He needs a way to expand his internal footprint without expanding his external footprint. Either he starts working on floors with different scenarios or he gets another solution.

A bloody good time.  The story is about a murdered young adult who becomes a dungeon core.  Then it really gets fun!  Mix a little devil possession, some Friday the 13th, sprinkle in some classics and watch the fun.  Most are worthy of the monsters affections, but there is the occasional sympathetic victim.  A decent system allows the story to bring in more and more monsters.  Including the worst ones of all, other human beings.
The story starts of good but slow and picks up quickly.  No spoilers, but there will be plenty of blood, gore, and disgusting scenes of slaughter.  Fun for the whole family.  Good news is no one 15 and under will die in the dungeon.  Seriously, dead kids is always a hard sell and gets old quickly.
Long story short, if you like horror and slashers this is a must read.  My current review is from Arc 4: Last Resort part 6.  Can't wait for more.  Since royal road requires 200 words here is a classic:)  Jay Jay Jay Son Son Son. Kill Kill Kill.  And of course (Chilling wolf's howl through the dark forest.)   Of course one would be remiss without a classic sound of abandoned summer camp now covered in overgrowth complete with eerie lake that has dark waters.

I love the concept of this, I love all the monsters, I love the plot, I love the gore, I love the main character, I love the side characters. This inspires me to write my own story like this one even if I probably never will it makes me want too.
