What a haunting retelling of the myth of Lady Melusine!
Melusine's inner thoughts are captured so well, and the tragedy of her curse really comes alive in this story. Its an exploration of self, at its core.
The scene of her husband breaking down the door is vivid and tense.
I highly recommend giving this a read, but can't write a review longer than 50 words for it, because it's a short story - come on! - so it won't take much longer to read the actual story than it does to read this filler-filled review. I'm just typing until the submit button goes red. Go read the story. There's nothing of substance to this review from this point onwards. In fact, it stopped having a point after I said 'I highly recommend giving this a read'. So go read it now.
