Description

Does this sound familiar?

The author writes a story with an academy setting, gets a DM asking for it to be rewritten, and then wakes up in his story as an extra?

Yeah, that’s me right now.

And just when I got an offer for it to be turned into a webtoon…

Whatever. My MC’s capable, and my story’s pretty generic, so I should be able to coast on by-

This is legitimately one of the best novels I hace ever read on this site, the story is almost perfect, the character interactions have actual weight and emotion, the world building is top tier with the backgrounds for everything, the worst thing I can say about this book is that the mc tends to be a bit whiny towards the rob at the start, but that ends after a while

I am really enjoying this story. The narrative is really vibrant and engaging. The scenes are very clearly portrayed and fun in a way that a person that really loves these genres.
The magic system is very interesting. It might be a little over complicated imo, but still very interesting to read and some nicely distinct ideas.
So far it is very first person oriented, which is not bad as a big theme is the author figuring out plans and coming up with ideas. I do hope we flesh out some side characters more though.
There are a bit of typos. I would say that the writing is very good, but pretty much every chapter has a typo, so a final pass of polish would make it just perfect.
    UPDATE
The later chapters include romance. Definitely enough that the story warrants the tag.
I personally am actually a big fan of romance, but it is handled very heavy handedly here, where it goes from 0-100 in the blink of an eye, and becomes a level of sappy that is a bit hard to believe and very hard to read.
    Especially considering
the MC is romancing a character he made up? While lying to her about who he fundamentally is? A bit icky
