The Apocamist is a epic miniseries told in short novella installments — think of a Netflix limited series with each episode being a novella-length story.I have 8 novellas planned—around 2 full novels worth of content—although this number might change slightly. We'll see!

- SRadioactiveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I was not sure how this was going to go when I started reading, usually I prefer swords and dragons, but I am so glad that I ventured into this series. I did not realize it is YA, but you would never know because nothing about it feels watered down for young adult.
The style is very interesting as it is realistic, it makes you think that yeah, this is the sort of attitudes these people would have if society fell and they were living in these conditions. They adapt, but the relationships, wants, and needs remain authentic to the age group.
The characters each struggle with a different part of their reality and situation, and they are all very distinct from one another. I would never mistake Dead Boy’s dialogue for Soda’s. Their backgrounds are as diverse as any you would find in a friend group their age. Each has a very different vibe to them and what the future holds. Although, I have my theories about Soda and what the future holds for him.
If there were any issues with grammar, I certainly did not notice.
I do have to mention that a big strength of this book is the pacing in the story. The action starts soon, but not too soon. You are already invested in the characters when their lives are in danger, and the stakes are that much higher as a result. I think it is brilliant, and although I am not fully caught up yet, I am looking forward to everything that is yet to come. - Marc MeaneyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The intriguing premise just builds and builds to an exciting crescendo. The alternating characters make for great suspense as the action twists and turns then combines when character come together again.
The characters resolve into unique individuals as the story develops especially as their new abilities begin to be revealed. How will this all play out?
I'm looking forward to the next instalment for sure.
