Description

Alex’s hunger for power cannot be sated.

Alex thought a colony ship crashing into a dinosaur-infested jungle was bad enough. Everyone else received a class from the mysterious System ruling this brutal universe, but Alex's Class Selection never arrives.

To top it off a meteor shower forces down the supply shuttle leaving her and her brother stranded with food running out. Just when all hope seems lost, it finally happens: Class Selection. And with it, a Legendary Class: Devourer. But what the heck is a Devourer, and why does this power feel so… ravenous, making her brother smell less like family and more like a tasty meal?

Alex embarks on a perilous trek deep through the wilderness to the compound for supplies to repair their wrecked shuttle. As the dinosaurs close in with her brother's life hanging in the balance, Alex must master abilities she barely understands or succumb to a world that feeds on the weak.

The mc is a go getter she puts in the work. no easy shortcuts from weak to beast. I love watching every new skill she gains. The world building is on point just enough to give you the important bits instead of drowning you like some other writers do. my only complaint is i wish we got more of her companions stat sheet.

I read through the first few chapters and was almost instantly hooked. I bought book 1 in paperback and can barely wait to get the rest when they're published. I may be well ahead of the books but this is a story well worth rereading. Having multiple characters with growth and seeing through their eyes, just adds to the depth of the story. I'm not invested in just one character I'm invested in quite a few, even those that don't need me to worry about them.

    Good Day!
i found the story last Night around 7pm ish and didn't stop reading(with small breaks) until 8:41 am xD to be honest i am very surprised that i couldn't  stop my self binge reading until chapter 150. I can say with confidence this is one of the few stories that i really like and actually put out review for it :D

I'm super picky, but I'm having a great time with this one. The mc is logical, three dimensional and all the characters have their own voices. There's not really cliches so far and I'm waiting for the next chapter! While there are strong beings around mc, they're not the back up, they're guides

This is how it's done. This is a fighting and leveling centric story done amazingly well. This story deftly avoids many of the pitfalls leveling stories on this platform seem to have. There is an ungodly amount of action, but it's all so interesting! When leveling in many stories on here, battles can be a slog to read through, with many of the fights a copy and paste of another. Not this story. All battles feel like they have stakes. The rewards at the end of each battle are actually useful, and though there is some of the typical plot armor (as expected), the MC rarely makes it out unscathed.
The world building is excellent, slowly expanding your understanding and worldview right along with the characters. There are bits and pieces of information sprinkled in that leaves enough intrigue to keep you reading and wanting to know more.
Its not perfect, but this is far and away the best level grinding story I have seen on royal road. It just doesn't stagnate the way others do. I'll be waiting eagerly for every chapter, and hope that even more people come to appreciate it in the future. All in all, a well done leveling story. With dinosaurs.

A new world, a System, and Dinosaurs! What more could someone want?
We're quickly introduced to a vibrant new world in which the MC and her group have to struggle to survive - in the face of Dino threats. What Class with the MC gain, how will she survive in this harsh new world, what grander forces are at work, and most of all, how do all those Dinos taste?!
Style: jerpatch has created a fresh take on System integration, blending skills, professions, and a unique setting. The Devourer class style is intriguing, with a lot of mystery wrapped around it. Though it sometimes feels a little disjointed between scenes, the mix of action, character building, and world-building keeps me hooked. It’s a little unconventional, but that adds to the charm and keeps me curious about what’s next.
Story: Fast-paced and high-energy. A lot happens in just a few chapters, setting up the foundation for what looks to be a multi-faction survival struggle for the MC and her group. Skills, professions, and the world itself offer hints of something much bigger. Although the rapid introduction of new elements can feel slightly overwhelming at times, it adds to the fast-moving plot and keeps me turning the page.
Grammar: Solid all around, with no glaring issues that take away from the immersion. The style is clean and easy to follow, helping to keep the action flowing smoothly.
Character: The roster of characters grows quickly within the first few chapters, which might feel a little overwhelming at first, but the group dynamic starts to emerge naturally. The personalities of these secondary characters are just starting to take shape, and while it’s a lot to keep track of initially, the rapid buildup feels necessary for the plot. I’m excited to see how these characters and their relationships develop—there’s a lot of potential here for rich, dynamic interactions.

This book has great plot lines and a good pace. Problems aren’t only solved with might but brains as well. Love that crafting seems like it will be important too. I’ve rarely seen spelling or grammar mistakes.
the author is good at leaving crumbs of information to get you hooked. I’m desperate for answers and check multiple times a day just in case there’s a new chapter. I can’t wait to keep exploring this new would and eventually other planets

I have to say, when you find a web novel that keeps you up for far too long, it's a good one! The main character doesn't feel overpowered, and crafting is starting to be introduced. There's plot development, and it feels natural.
Over all It's really good, please give it a try!

Basic LitRPG with weak to strong Female MC.
The story is good, with MC choosing a non-standard class with the downside that she becomes slightly less human. The class allows the MC to pick up skills from whatever she consumes which may make her more powerful and dangerous, but the cost is she is becoming less human the more she consumes. A classic over-powered trade-off.
The story is quite good and the world-building is OK: It merges Sci-Fi guns and spaceships with fantasy swords and it’s own brand of sorcery. It mostly works. The pacing is good.
The story touches on what is a 'Person'. Nearly all of the active characters are intelligent non-humans with monsters being not intelligent. Overall a fun read.

Overall this is a well done story and a good read, the MC has a powerful skillset that keeps building over time, where she's used to punching up in levels whilst most stick to their own level range, not necessarily OP, and there are many figures far more powerful around, but definitely stronger than her level. She's also not the only one as those close to her also become more powerful by necessity, earning their own achievements and powerful classes, although this can take awhile to happen.
As for the problems mentioned in the title, they primarily fall into two areas, the occasional grammatical error, although nothing major, and the litrpg aspects, which can be unclear and potentially inconsistent, particularly how the stats are handled. Overall it's still an interesting and functional system with clear tiers, titles and achievements and these inconsistencies can be ignored, they don't really effect the story and are relatively minor.
