Amazingly funny and creative. I can definitely see the potential in the story so far. The adventures Mengus and his various companions are exciting. I can't wait to see where the story goes on from here.
The story is very realistic, there is no plot armor for the characters and you can see the change happening in every chapter.
    Worth a read!

This novel is a fast paced journey following the life of a dedicated gamer who, in a twist of fate, finds himself transported to a fantasy game world after performing the "chest clutch shuffle" - ow! The transition from his demise to rebirth as an infant is swift, and throws readers into the heart of the action with little delay.
The protagonist, Mengus, is a character driven by a relentless desire to advance in this new world. His journey is marked by a series of intense arena battles that are both thrilling and work toward his progression. These encounters are filled with unexpected shocks, particularly at the end of chapter 8, which caught me completely off guard. Mengus's strategic approach to advancement involves making deals, acquiring kick-butt gear, and facing increasingly challenging adversaries, keeping the stakes high and the excitement constant.
The story moves at a breakneck pace. This well written with the exception of a few minor grammatical errors, but they won't detract from the story and I didn't stumble over them. I was never bored reading this and the stats are just crunchy enough to sink your teeth into, but they don't overwhelm the story. Overall, this was a super fun read. Check it out.

Had a lot of fun reading this book. It takes the usual LitRPG elements, makes it its own, and delivers it in an engaging way for the readers, making it enjoyable to read. The MC is strong, relatable, and determined to make the most of his second chance at life. Combined with the well-paced story line, it is definitely worth checking out for any lovers of the genre!

I really like that that you are playing with a different kind of RPG. If you were to compare the party-based or strategic turn-based type of gameplay to our real life games. Not sure if I got that right, but that was my impression. Those are some of my favorites. I also like how fast the pace is. Makes you like "oh Ok, I'll read one more chapter." Nice job. I'll keep reading.

"He is the baby" is just crazy dude 😂😂 I'm going to read the next chapters and I hope it will be just good to read. I hope this book is made into a Manhwa or manga because I would love to see illustrations of this book. But until then good luck with your book bro!

I've read some other works by this author and I'm impressed by the progress they've made. This is a good story with the occasional twist. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of GameLit. The first chapter especially shines well and hooks you right into the world.

The premise is decent but this is so clearly AI generated it practically screams it from the roof. In the first chapters alone, the amount of repetitive phrases and methods of description (seen most easily during the growing up montage) and regular use of em dashes in a way natural writing does not do show it. Now, do I think AI created the story idea and plot points? No. But the authot, while he was the director of the general gist of the writing, clearly did not actually write it all himself. I expect more some editing and tweaking of specific passages.
Does this make it a bad story? No, though I would have appreciated if it was specifically labeled as AI assisted so folks like me who dislike the way LLM generated text reads can just move on to other stories.
I am giving it two stars as the plot ideas are sound, but I feel that presenting this as a wholly original creative work when it clearly is not is at least somewhat disingenuous.

The Verdict: An interesting enough premise that is held back by an inconsistent method of narration. With a significant proofreading and editing pass to smooth out typos and narration style, this could really be an interesting read. As things are now, some TLC is needed before this story can stand on its own.
    Style
    2.0 - jarringly inconsistent
comments: The manner in which this story is written is somewhat confusing. Semi-regular flips between what I believe is supposed to be third-person omniscient, the occasional first person scene, and some second-person "this thing happened" narration. Any would be acceptable as a medium for this story, but the constant flip flop between style and tense are jarring. One might also notice that dialog is not consistently marked, fluctuating between italics and bold italics often in the same chapter, by the same character.
    Story
    2 - barely readable
comments: An interesting enough premise, if one that is not particularly unique, in which our hapless main character dies, and is reborn a person of considerable talent. A nice twist with the arena champion arc provides a breath of fresh air compared to the tired adventurers guild. The fast pacing is a nice touch though, skipping the usual pitfall of spending 15 chapters on the MCs childhood was probably a smart play, letting the reader move on to more interesting events. Ultimately held back by inconsistent writing style making each chapter a struggle to get through.
    Grammar (and editing)
    1.5 - subpar
comments: Errors abound, at least a couple of issues per chapter. Nothing really immersion breaking (for there is little immersion to break), but clearly in need of a thorough proofread.
    Character Score
    1 - shallow
comments: The main character is a classic fat nerd who dies of a heart attack and gets whisked away to a wonderful world of swords and fantasy. That's about the only thing I can actually tell you about him. A handwaved childhood, some wandering about to arenas for some reason, 2
