Princess Prickilliana Ironhart II never wanted to be royalty. Nicknamed "Prick" since childhood and known more for her wit than her sword arm, she dreamed of slipping away from royal duties to live a quiet, ordinary life.

But when a strange curse sweeps across her kingdom, turning her people to stone and leaving her as the only one untouched, Princess Prick is forced to step into the role she tried to escape. She's joined by Whisk, a boastful (and oddly endearing) cat-eared boy with a sword too big for his body.
