Description

Neither human nor monster, hybrids are born into this world to serve one purpose: to ensure their human master's safety. Whether it's to be fodder for monsters or set off traps in a dungeon, humans continuously breed hybrids for these self-serving purposes. Labelled as monsters by the “System,” hybrids have been unable to escape this fate for generations, even their lives and deaths are decided for them.

Alisha, having just turned 16, is one of the latest in a batch of hybrids to join a dungeon expedition. Will she find a way to escape, or will she die an early death like the rest of her kind?

This is a very enjoyable read, with compelling main characters. My only gripe with them would be that they seem to brush off trauma a little too well, but that might just be due to them not having the time to process it.
I really like the idea of a LitRPG system that doesn't give all the information from the get go and getting upgraded at certain milestones. It gives a nice hint of a progression path, without spoiling too much.
I also think that the decision to specifically emphasize that the system won't give more than the minimum upgrade just for leveling, requiring someone to actually train and work on their abilities. This makes the strength the characters gain feel more earned.

This is a VERY dark story. As long as you're okay with that, I think you'll like it, but I think that needs to get out of the way first. Alot of death, an extremely dark world economic/social system filled with torture, slavery, hinted-at sexual slavery, and evil characters being serile-killer level sadists. And thats just the first 5 chapters and prologue.
The ideas here are quite interesting, and by chapter 5 I am intriqued by the ecology of the dungeon/as compared to the human cities. I am curious as to what leveling actually does in this case as well. I am curious as to an "evolution/mutation" system that seems capable of adding numerous levels at one time while switching/upgrading functionality of multiple things. But we don't have any hard answers yet ot even hard numbers, we mostly have interesting questions by chapter 5.
This story is multiple PoV, mostly woman, especially in the good/mc roles, but not exclusively female. Characters in positions of power are evil, with perhaps one exception, but that feels appropriate given that 'positions of power' in this world means 'life and death authority over multiple sentient slaves, and you will have to kill them eventually.'
The writing is mostly clear. The characters have motivations, mostly a group that seek 'power' in one form or another, and a group that seeks 'survival' and 'worth' as their motivations. The actions they take within the confines of the dark world and their status make sense.
Overall, if you like dark stories, try this one. Just be aware of what you're reading.

Tales of a Hybrid's Fate is a gripping story set in a world where humans use hybrids to fight against monsters in a Dimensional Dungeon. This dark tale follows the life of Alisha, one of the hybrids, who is constantly fighting for survival while struggling with her emotions and desire to save her brethren.
Overall score 5/5. This story is an excellent read that will leave you hooked from beginning to end. The author does a fantastic job of setting the scene and creating a vivid picture of the world in which the story takes place.
Style score 5/5. The author's writing style is captivating and creates a sense of tension and urgency that is felt throughout the story. The plot is well-structured, and the pacing is just right, making it easy to follow and understand.
Story score 5/5. The plot is unique and keeps the reader engaged with a series of events that occur, and the characters are relatable and lovable. The author does an excellent job of building the world, and the descriptions of the Dimensional Dungeon make it easy to visualize the characters' surroundings.
Grammar score 5/5. The writing is well-edited and easy to understand. There are no noticeable errors or inconsistencies, and the author's writing style is polished and professional.
Character score 5/5. Alisha is a well-rounded and developed character that the reader will grow to care for. Her struggle to come to terms with the world she lives in and her desire to help her brethren make her a relatable and likable protagonist. Other characters in the story are equally well-written and help to create a well-rounded cast of characters.
In conclusion, Tales of a Hybrid's Fate is an exciting and thought-provoking story that is well worth the read. I highly recommend this story for anyone looking for a fresh take on the genre! ♥

Good story. I like the characters especially now that Alisha takes front and center. The beginning especially is dark so word of warning to new readers. This isn't like a system in other stories that will give you skills because you think about it. Work is what matters. Great story.

This story had me rooting for the hybrids to form an alliance and escape, and I despised the humans. What they did was horrible! I don’t want to give away any spoilers, so I won’t. The characters were well written, the story, though quite dark in the beginning, was very well told. There was a lot of action, and plenty of suspense that kept me turning pages. I wish the POVs didn’t have to change between each chapter because I found that to be a little jarring, but I understood why the author did it - to keep the suspense high as you’re trying to figure out what’s going on.
The one suggestion I might make is to change one of the character names in either the prologue or the character in chapter 1 - because “Alice” and “Alisha” are derived from the same base name, so I found myself confusing the two at first.
I will say there are some scenes where the situations and suggested sexual slavery gets pretty dark and is not appropriate for younger readers or those who might find it offensive, but otherwise I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others. I have no issues giving this story 5 stars. I’ll be following this one!

I myself am a sucker for cynical takes on fantasy world. Grimdark genre is right up my alley in that sense, and this novel scratches all the itches I need.
    Style:
One major thing to note is that the style of writing is very consistent, and it may or may not be a good thing.
This means that while the different POV's being written are all in first person, I can't help but feel that they all have the same thinking pattern and internal thought style. This is a side effect of consistent writing. If it was a third-person view, it might have worked out better.
It threw me off slightly, especially with the rapid POV changes within a chapter. First person view is not very easy to pull off, but it doesn't hurt the overall story.
    Story:
While I expected grimdark, the reasoning for treating the hybrids like this doesn't seem soldified enough at the start. Granted, I have not read enough to see the true nature of the human society, but this seemed to be peak discrimination.
When the MC's escaped, the first instinct of the higher-ups seemed to be that the escaped hybrids would pose a threat in the future. I would rather think that the first initial reaction would be "oh they won't amount to anything."
The reason I think so is because they have already been putting the hybrids down for generations, or at least it sounds like it has been this way for a long time. People forget the original reason, and should attribute it to 'hybrids are an inferior race' rather than 'hybrids are a dangerous race."
This is merely my personal opinion on how humans would react. Reactions vary throughout the history of humanity, so what I say are not facts.
Regardless, it did throw me off a bit as a bit immersion breaking as to their justification for treating the hybrids badly.
    Grammar:
No issues with grammar that I can spot. I'm not an expert at the English Language, but there were no grammatical errors that threw off my reading speed.
    Character:
The characters seem to act in a similar way, and this

So far, the fiction is a brutally severe look at exploitation and hopelessness.  Although the last chapters I read show some hope, this is no light novel or children's story.  Are the named characters-in-power evil, or are the circumstances so nasty that everyone is unavoidably driven to apparent reprehensible behavior?  I'll need to keep reading to find out, and I plan to.
Style:  The presentation is a little different from what I'm used to so far in web novels, and that's a good thing.  The Point-of-View jumps work well, and are diverse enough to keep hidden which characters will have major roles in the further chapters.  The use of "system" prompts is effective and not in-your-face overdone.
Grammar:  Throughout, there are some minor errors, although not to the point that I had any difficulty reading and enjoying the story.  Unlike weaknesses in the other categories, these are much easier to fix with some additional editing.
Story:  Although not for everyone, if you can handle a dark and serious fantasy story, and you appreciate a deconstruction of videogame mechanics taken to their logical and perhaps evil extreme, the story is great.  It reminds me of some of the "evil" things I've done in videogames, glad that the characters I betrayed aren't real, thinking people.  If they are, I'm in trouble...
Character:  The "good" characters are relatable and practically bring tears to my eyes as we get their inner thoughts regarding their plight.  The "bad" characters are almost incomprehensibly evil, but I suspect the reason for that will make sense as I continue to read more of the story.  The only thing I wish was included was a bit more visual description early on.  It's hard for me to understand what the hybrids are like from the first few chapters, although I don't really care what the humans are like so there's no problem there.

From the dark corners of the internet, and also a bit of the early 80’s arose Grimdark. A world without hope has become increasingly obvious, in a fantasy setting of course. Like 40K had a twisted love child with try end of times fiction. What's not to love?
Style: The story has a..unique flow. Each POV is written in the first person, and while this can be interesting and very good for revealing the inner thoughts of the POV characters, part of me wishes it was in the third person just to allow for slightly smoother transitions. However if the author can nail down shifting their thought process/warmup to “get into character” before writing a non MC POV that could help make the always first person tense a more complete writing style for the story. I would also recommend not changing POV’s suddenly or mid-chapter. That said with each chapter I saw improvement and for that I’m giving full marks.
Story: Prejudice is the name of the game in the grimdark universe. At least if you’re a hybrid. Although the reasoning for this speciesism isn’t particularly clear, what is clear is that humans have been putting down the hybrids like PETA employees finding dogs wandering around. I mean it's just insane. However there’s a big difference between being treated as inferior, and actually being dangerous. People often fear dangerous things, and sometimes even trick themselves into thinking themselves stronger than the others. People fear what they do not understand, and rightfully so.
Grammar: There were no noticeable grammatical errors that threw me out of my immersion. Well done.
Character: The always first person POV hurts the characters a bit here at this point in the story. I wish there was a bit more clear differentiation between them. That said their dialogue and action really steps up and helps clear that a bit, it just can’t be relied on to do it all the time. I shouldn’t have to go “Oh this is Alisha because she talks like this usually”. On a positive note, getting conflict

    Overall:
I've enjoyed the story so far. The system is inoffensive, the actual story so far has flowed pretty naturally, and the worldbuilding is cool.
The pacing is perhaps a little slow in the sense that I've hit Chapter 9 and the progression of the characters in regards to stats, abilities, etc. feels like it has yet to have borne significant fruit (except perhaps for one counter-example that was established pretty early on.) They seem to be progressing extraordinarily quickly but the tests they endure are kind of paltry in regards to actually using those abilities, and they aren't offered much in the way of grinding (when it seems like that would be only natural at this rate). There also hasn't been much in the way of choices/builds/spells yet, which is where I think LitRPG really excels, but perhaps this will change in future chapters.
Style: The author's style is readable but there are some serious flow issues. The prose can feel repetitive. 4/5
Story: As I mentioned in overall, it's been enjoyable so far. 5/5
Grammar: Grammar is mostly good but there are some occasional issues that would be fixed with editing, including some mistakes related to apostrophes etc. 4.5/5
Character: The character development is quite good! I've been enjoying the back-and-forth and such between perspectives. This is more of a style thing, but the way PoV is indicated could probably be better (avoiding the brackets would be good.) 5/5

This story has rappidly become one of my favorite on RR. I dont really have anything bad to say about it.
The characters are deep, they have emotions, convinctions and reasons for most of the stuff they do. The story has a nice pace and the worldbuilding is piece-meal but done in a good way.
Enough Litrpg for me. Its not one of those that just put litrpg in there for the clicks, or one that requires a maths degree to follow.
The only reason it's not a 5 star for me... Multiple pov's.
I usually dont like multiple perspectives/multiple leads in a story. I find most writers can't pull it off without interupting the flow of the story. I don't really mind it here. They are usually multiple views surrounding the same event/area so the flow of the story doesn't get interupted.
