Description

This story is only posted to here (RoyalRoad) by me, the author. Anywhere else it has been posted is not authorized by me. It is and will remain free to read.

1) This story features a simple leveling system with hidden mysteries and components that will progress with the story.

2) The MC will be overpowered and will utilize a mix of shadow/assassin abilities with magic to overpower his enemies. The MC will be merciless but fair and will never kill simply because he is angry.

3) Romance will be prominent in this story and will play a large role in it. There also won't be much drama and/or breakups. There will be one female MC and she won't go away. If it wasn't already implied, that means no harem either.

Ryzen was just another broke college student, preparing to slave away at some corporate job for the rest of his life. That was until he and his entire university class were summoned to an entirely new world. Instead of joining an army to fight the demon lord or appearing in a nice forest, each of them were promptly enslaved and forced to live out the rest of their lives as living cattle. Fortunately for Ryzen, he was blessed with an ability to hide his inherent strength allowing him to slowly hunt and oppose the powerful vampires that were keeping him captive. Ryzen would ensure they didn't know what hit them.Currently uploading every other day :)

Who doesn't like a story about killing vampires!?
Style- I really enjoyed all of the descriptive passages. I like being able to create a detailed mental scene as I read and this story does that very well.
Grammar- I didn't notice any issues with the grammar here. The word usage isn't complex, which makes for easy reading. This would easily be a young adult story if the main character was in high school instead of college.
Story- I really like the premise of this one. Its a normal day then bam captured by vampires. The beginning is a little repetitive, but LitRPG fans will eat it up, all the crunchy stats and skills keep things interesting as you wonder how the main character is going to solve his captivity problem.
Character-Ryzen is the classic Byronic hero. He is pragmatic as most would be in a survival situation. He has to overcome insurmountable odds in order to survive and its not exactly clear how the long he can keep it up. I will just call her, The Girl, so as not to spoil anything. Romantic interests are always an interesting endeavor in LitRPGs. The Girl is compelling and mysterious. Her motives aren't clear from the beginning and neither is her place in the story along side the main character. I am fascinated to see how her role evolves as the story goes on.
Overall definitely worth a read and if you get in now, you could probably knock out all of the chapters in an afternoon.

I have never written a review that early, but, unfortunately, I feel like I've already seen more than enough here.
    First and foremost, contrivances.
"Oh no, I need to hide my class! If only I could change my status somehow! - Ding! Ding! Ding! Here's a Disguise skill!"
"How do I level up? - Do not worry! A perfect situation will present itself shortly (much stronger opponent being incapacitated with a weapon in reach)!"
"I should probably invest in some vitality, so I can take a hit! - Immediately gets hit and survives because of it."
"What do I do? I'm being tracked but have no idea how! - Ding! Ding! Ding! Here's a skill that makes all tracking abilites obsolete!"
All this happens in the first six chapters. One such instance can explain why this is the protagonist to begin with, but four such situations back to back? That crosses the line of unbelievable.
    Secondly, arbitrary decision-making.
"I'm not going to associate with anyone from my world because I don't trust them! - Goes ahead and lets a random demon tag along with him."
Why bother painting him as careful and wary of others when you immediately go and undo the entire thing?
    Lastly, the pace.
I don't think I've ever been bothered by a story that progresses too fast, but here the protagonist seems to literally speedrun everything. We go from barely killing an incapacitated target to killing dozens of them in a heartbeat. Mind you, they're still supposedly far stronger than him, yet he kills them with ease anyway.
The best I can say about this story is the interesting premise, which is unfortunately and constantly undermined by contrivances.

The premise seemed very interesting, but that is the only redeeming quality of this story. The characters are flat, one dimensional, and lack any semblance of a personality (if the author even bothers writing about a character at all other than saying “this unnamed human exists, this unnamed vampire has died”); the MC is the worst offender in this case as wet paint has better motivations and is a better conversationalist than he. The one twist the author had in the story so far was seen two sentences after we learned the individual’s name, the writing lacks any kind of style and is stilted, almost completely non-descriptive, and full of inconsistencies. The plot seems to exist but the poor writing makes getting to it an impossibility.
It is very clear to me that the author can do a much better job than this if they so choose. They do not lack talent or creativity, probably moreso a lack of experience than anything else. However, this story is bland, tasteless, and disappointing in it current form when it most definitely could be a very good story if it were to be fleshed out, re-written, and populated with real people rather than crudely portrayed stick figures.

Writing starts out ok and is improving, worldbuilding is interresting and engaging but I'm dropping this for the simping behavior of the MC with E.
He does not trust his fellow classmates and ignores them, which is ok but he goes out of his way for a total stranger that is rasist against humans and admits her people are eating them?
She tells others his secrets and his only reaction is to ask her not to argue with him for a day? They are asked to show their status to a guard but after he jumps in so she does not need to show her stats she points out everything wrong and suspicius with his stats...in front of the guard.
I really like the premise but cannot stand such unreasonable behavior in a dangerous situation. Its emersionbreaking for me.
