The good point is that it ended. So many Royal Road stories are never completed. Also, this was a coherent piece of writing. I know what happened. Like all things, you got to start somewhere.
Unfortunately, there wasn't enough to make this a story I would recommend. I am sorry.
The actual prose was substandard. Too much telling and not enough feeling. I never even had a clear view of the world that was being built.
The characterization was very weak. I know it tried to make us feel, but it wasn't good.
The plot was pretty random. "Because of magic and an evil demon." I've seen that before. That wasn't the core issue. I think a more experienced writer who took the time could build a decent story on this exact idea. It would take time.
Worst of all, not enough fun. There could be so much more.
