Surviving as the Villainess's Alchemist

Description
Graduating, finding a job, and then living a stable life on a decent income was Tammy's ideal goal after leaving her school and getting her diploma.
Becoming the only character to never leave her party in all her playthroughs (due to favoritism, mainly, sue her, she loves her main damnit!) in her favorite otome game was not part of that.

- Joyeuse2023Royal Road★★ 2.0Poor grammar is the biggest problem with this story. Verb tenses flap back and forth, mispellings abound, and punctuation is ignored. Grammar is the infrastructure of the story, and this story's structure is the equivalent of spray foam and plastic tape. The reader has to decipher the bad grammar instead of simply reading a story - the poor presentation is preventing delivery of the story.
The author can take some easy steps to correct these shortcomings. Rereading the work before publishing would help the author recognize and correct the errors. Using an editor like Microsoft Word would help avoid a lot of these errors and produce higher quality writing. I'm fairly appalled that I have to point this out as it should be obvious. It's not the worst I've seen on Royal Road, but it's definitely down at the bottom of the writing quality list.
It's difficult to identify a style other than "poor grammar."
The underlying story is trite and relies on reader's knowledge of vampire/dhampir tropes to fill in the blanks instead of actually creating characters and worldbuilding. There is no discussion of what alchemy is in this world. There are no explanation of vampires, vampire hunters, or dhampirs. We are just presented with a dhampir heroine who just exists with her "vampire hunter" mother, no explanation for how this obvious conundrum exists or happened . That's an entire story itself that isn't told or explained. Ugh, just writing this review makes me cranky.
