Matt Callaghan is in trouble. In a world where everyone has superpowers, he's got squat, and has spent the last five years faking being clairvoyant just to avoid getting caught. Unfortunately, Matt's lies have started to catch up to him, and when a desperate bluff backfires he'll need every ounce of cunning, conning and juvenile delinquency to stay undetected and alive.

Jane Walkeristrouble. In a world where everyone is powerful, Jane stands alone and apart, hated for her ability to copy abilities and atrocities far beyond her control. But fate is a fickle friend, and a chance encounter soon finds Jane hurtling towards her lifelong dream - or prejudice, humiliation and a violent, painful death.

Unbeknownst to them, Matt and Jane’s paths are inextricably intertwined, and as each struggles to find their place an unseen force will draw them ever forward – closer and closer to a secret whose existence threatens not just their lives, but the fate of the entire world.

A loving homage to and twist on the superhero genre,Superworldis a fun, subversive story about identity, empathy, connection and courage which has been called “very entertaining and creative” and “an absolute pleasure” by readers, and "completely unreadable" by the author's blind grandfather.

I just binged the whole thing in a single day, no regrets. My only criticism is that this book has increased the backlog of my work to multiply tenfold, I shall now spend the night in a frantic rush to complete 3 papers. Totally worth it.
Although one thing that irks me is that my review is not hitting 50 words and I really need to get back to my work.

I was weary of reading a superhero story, but I can say this is one of the best stories on Royal Road. MC is funny as he'll and it culminates into a great ending. You will literally kick yourself if you don't read this story. Its a riveting, addictive, and surprisingly great story. Don't be fooled because its about superheros. I had this story in my follows for a long time. I finally was bored and said let me read this. I was shocked how good it was.

Despite being a "Super" fiction and in a setting where everyone has some kind of power, this is, in the end, an excellently written human story, with realistic characters, well-thought worldbuilding and exploring themes such as inclusion and exclusion, fitting in and the consequences of such behavior.
I can say that I fully recommend reading ths fiction.

This work is so good that I've effectively been sabotaging relationships with friends and family just to keep reading it. I managed to read the beginning on Royal Road, but after realising how addictive it was during my exams I forcefully pulled myself away. Once my exams ended I subscribed to the author on Patreon and just binged every chapter I'd missed as a PDF while ignoring conversations and loved ones so I could keep reading.
I'll start with the most boring aspect of a review: The grammar and spelling are very good. There are a few typos here and there, but nothing major or egregious - just tiny little things like a missed key occasionally that will pop up maybe once a chapter (proper chapter, not the little subchapters here). The author is highly competent and these don't detract from the story at all. I believe they're also collecting typos that are found so they can go back and correct them.
The author has created a wonderful tapestry, with some nice little inversions that keep this genre fresh - something rather nice in a world where Marvel is now releasing so many films a year. The storyline is fantastic and continually engaging, but for me, the writing style is the absolute peak of why I love it. There are so many brilliantly witty things just buried in the writing that don't draw extra attention to themselves. It's so well-integrated that you laugh hard, but without the feeling that the author is trying too hard. The author has that sense of being effortlessly witty that I associate with Oscar Wilde and Eoin Colfer.
The characters are organic, nuanced, and well-developed. So far everything they do feels well within what the character would do, and you really feel for them. You get sad when they're sad, scared when they're scared, and massive tingles up your spine when they're being awesome. The characters are all three dimensional, and the author makes sure that their character development is an appropriate evolution. The two main characters work absolu

The majority of the book so far has revolved around the character and relationship arcs of two very interesting MCs. They are alike and polar opposite in just the right ways. The lack of romantic tension between the two gives me strong Studio Ghibli vibes, with "mutual inspiration to live" the focus over a more traditional romance. Their dialogue is witty and fun. More than that, they feel like actual people with real feelings and motivations.
The umbrella plot is a Mystery, which I find quite refreshing. Action books that focus on the character's abilities over their actual character seem to be a dime a dozen these days.
I would easily put this book on the same level as other superpower greats, such as Super Powereds and Pith.
All in all, I found this story to be a great reminder of what a good story should be; Interesting characters, snappy dialogue, and intriguing behind-the-scenes plot devices.
Far too often I find myself reading books with 5 star ratings that are about ill-adjusted sociopaths who's only redeeming traits are some shallow advantages they have in a setting that is suddenly thrust upon them. Here, the plot revolves around choices made by the characters, and the consequences that follow.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT CLICK SPOILERS IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ THIS STORY. THEY WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR READING EXPERIENCE AND ONLY MAKE IT WORSE!
Great story. Currently on book 2
    Right after Ed dies
And the story and the characters are simply amazing. The plot is kinda obvious with all the hints,
Dawn is probably Black Death, its why Matt is always bleeding, bc he’s a blood empath, also why he’s so nice to Jane and has such an interesting view on Power and why he doesnt hate the Black Death
But that doesn't take away from the eventual reveal and the horrors the characters will feel when they get it. If anything it makes it more enjoyable as we see this entire story play out. (Or i could totally be wrong, which would honestly be even cooler)
in any case i highly recommend this story!

For most of us, superpowers have always brought new worlds, and you could call it, escaping reality. They did'nt need to feel real, because the whole poing was, they where not.
Superworld is the oposite. The MC feels, talks, and behaves like an actual person would, and so do most if no tall of the characters. Side characters are really fleshed out and come to life on their own, which make the plot progresion much more organic.
The writing is flawless (at leas to my knowledge), and the style is very good, conversations feel real, the autor takes his time in developing the world, characters,... everything really, while being interesting and fun to read at the same time. Basically this is pro work here.
Flaws... please don't read the overwiev of the story, contrary to the rest of the work it seems to have been written by a novice writer. The title could be better, as well as the cover. Sciente notes could be more engaging for te reader, or just write small extracts at the beginning of each chapter (hopefully referencing to things relevant to the story).
To sum it up this is pure gold, but round arround the edges. With a little effort, it should be one of the top storyes on RRL in no time.

Alright friends, buckle up because this story is the best superhero-genre novel on this entire website (and possibly one of the best period).
The characters are superbly written, dialogue so natural that it truly mirrors reality and the world-building is handled with careful finesse, allowing readers to explore the world alongside the characters. The plot isn't predictable, the prose is elegant and refined, and there is careful consideration behind each and every paragraph.  It is clear that this is an edited work that has been through careful consideration and revisions (as evident by the Author's note on chapter 1.1).
Ok, I've said enough - just read the story. You won't be dissapointed.

Great story. None of that "my MC is smart because I say so" bs from crap authors.
This author knows how to write a story. The show don't tell is well exercised .
No major spelling or grammatical errors or at least the story is good enough that I fail to see them.

I like the chemistry, mystery, and the MC's flair. The MC doesn't do any power stomping given his situation as the supposed-to-be powerless human. Funny enough, I find his mental discipline to be superhuman enough.
This is the charm of the Superworld- the protagonists. Reasonably, the world doesn't revolve around them.
The ML is human in every sense of the word. What makes him interesting is his mindset, motivation, and dialogue. His powerlessness is but another color that influences how he thinks.
The FL is superhuman in every sense, to the point she is being marginalized. It's not her fault, yes. But her superhumanness still holds true proof to the historical snippets given in the story.
This is a story that utilizes the MC's every worth as a person and Male Lead- this is where the Female Lead spices the story up! Their exchanges of dialogue are quite a feast to my (imaginary) sight. If not for the FL, I find the ML to be too lonely, even with the friends he can gather with his socializing skills. the FL alone is quite broken already, and I believe that she's heading to self-destruction if not for the ML's proactiveness.
The FL has been targetted by discrimination to a far-reaching extent, her childhood in a superhuman world is nothing but catastrophic! This is where the ML comes to her life, showing a path of less pain, and in the heart of things discover that the ML is somehow in the same situation as hers, just on the other end of the spectrum.
In summary- the plot is amazing, and it would only get more so as the two uncover the conspiracies that stumbled on their way. I only do my reviews after reading the whole story. But Superworld just got me so hyped, I can't help but express love for the story!
