Stormclaw - [Fanfic][Male Lead][Progression]

Description

This story is essentially the history of Warcraft (or most of it) through the eyes of a Night Elf Druid who has seen far too many wars, and frankly, is getting too old for this shit. There's ten thousand years of history between the start, and the crotchety old stereotype our protagonist becomes, which I will attempt to keep as lore friendly as possible, though there will be a bit of headcanon as we follow our druid boi on his journeys.

Most of it is, as you would expect, from a druidic perspective so if you do not like druids, nature, or the themes associated with such, this may not be the story for you. That said, it is very Night Elf themed and we do sometimes follow different Stormclaws, as we hit modern WoW era, that's going to become more important for obvious reasons.

What readers say about Stormclaw - [Fanfic][Male Lead][Progression]

  • Not going to lie, usually i dislike World of Warcraft fan fic or even published fiction. But i truely enjoy this story, the pace is strange but i imagine if you live for 10k years, time gets odd. Please continue to update as i really wonder what the mc does…

  • For up to the point in the story I read, I'll say the fanfic inspired me to actually read more of this fanfic as well as try to read up on the canon lore of WoW. The story following Laronar is impressively simple in the start. It stays in a pure omniscient…

Please continue to update as i really wonder what the mc does further even if it surpasses current canon storylines.

The story following Laronar is impressively simple in the start. It stays in a pure omniscient narration style. This is something I tend to have a problem with because of the preference of 'show, don't tell.'
However, the story's early chapter still kept me well engaged with the unfolding events. I will say the story is very worth reading given the form it portrays.
For the grammar, I didn't find sentences that I will like to change. However paragraph changes could be done in a few that were merged together.
Laronar as a character through the lens of an omniscient narrator did grow on me quite the bit. That explains the rating.
For anyone and everyone, read through the first few chapters before deciding to whether continue on or not. The first few chapters goes in a very deep lore that starts out slow but unfolds narratively well. The different new names may give someone a want to change them, but to me it told of how those names may have been arrived at.
