S&F follows Cat through her journey of balancing school, work, and being on her own for the first time. Throughout the year, she must learn to pick her battles, when to back down, and when to fight for herself. With every moment of fun with her new friends comes stress from unforeseen problems. With carefree afternoons come nights of caution. With nights full of loneliness are mornings bursting with love. Above all else, Cat learns from her first year away from home, that every moment balances out, for better or worse.
