Description

Rewrite is in progress: We are about 50% back to where we left off. The story is much improved from previous version. I hope you enjoy.Enter the Universe of Stargate just prior to the events of the 1994 movie, but with a twist. Milton Yeager a Science Fiction enthusiast died in a terrible accident only to find himself reborn into one the cult classic universe of Stargate, but as a Goa'uld the doomed empire of parasitic aliens.Using his limited knowledge of watching occasional reruns of Stargate he will attempt to avoid the fate destined of the Goa'uld and if possible, change it.*Note* Some minor story changes from the TV series will occur to give the story better stakes.*Note* Grammar assistance is used the story and language is my own. Ai is used minimally to check for continuity issues or major grammar mistakes. This is a slow grind action doesn't really happen for a while, but once it does you guys will appreciate a lot of the great callbacks. Once we reach the point of complete divergence from the show I look forward to coming up with some fantastic fanfic additions to one of my favorite sci-fi universes.

Didn’t expect to find a stargate fan fic but am glad I did. I like the perspective with MC being a goa’uld. It’s done well and quite realistic in regards to the inevitable personality changes. Also the difference in culture, thinking and goa’uld normals vs human normals. Only grammar errors are small and can probs count them on 1 hand so it’s well written. Only thing is I wish we saw more from MC’s perspective in a 1st person POV and his thoughts and feelings about different characters so we can better understand his motivations and desires. There are also some inconsistencies that break immersion regarding MC’s appearance. His eyes are described as a glowing bright Teal color but in some later chapters it switches to golden.

Just when I get started on one tv show I discover this gem. Now I have to go back and binge watch all of sg-1 again. •sigh• first world problems. lol. Love it so far. This is going to be one of my favorite and most frustrating fan fics on here. Mainly because I am very impatient for more.

This novel has captivated me from the start, the bold and brilliant descriptions bringing me back to my childhood memories; a child starstruck by the fantastical empires and wonderous worlds. I cant wait to see where this goes next! Praises to the author for your hard work and best of wishes and prayers for your family, Thank You!

Honestly star gate is a somewhat weird of a universe to dig into simply through the fact that it lacks much of the "production" value that its contemporaries share. Very much existing in a weird modern day / not modern day/ twisting of culture and religion.
This is one of the best attempts of writing a good novel within its universe that I have ever read. Overall the plot is sound. And everything fits fairly well.
Are there nitpicks that I have, absolutely. However for what it is this novel delivers a quality that is above what is expected.

Great fan fic of the beging of the series expecting great storyline from it going foward as have enjoyed so far.  Can't wait to see the interactions they will have with all the more know races of the stargate and the ancient history of the galaxy and the possible effect on other galaxies.

EDIT: After thinking it over, I am increasing the rating from 4 to 5 stars. I still dislike the style, but the story itself is compelling and I practically binged it.
It's very nice to have a fanfic in the Stargate universe. The setup is good, a human reincarnated into a system lord, changed by his new biology. I anticipate the meeting with the SG1 crew quite eagerly.
The one weak point of the story, in my opinion, is the style. It reads like AI-assisted. Expressions like "her expression a mixture of THING and THING", "their movements fluid and precise", "her tone casual yet eager" bother me because AI uses them all the time. The author claims to not use AI, which doesn't really matter to me, only the end product does. The style is just too flowery for my taste in Protagonist's POV.
I'd like to add that the SG1 POV is well done and it feels like I'm rewatching the show.
All in all this is a fun story and I will continue reading it.

I was not looking for Stargate fanfic despite loving the franchise. And I was septic about the timeline choosen, the first chapter was confusing for me and the chapters are rather short.
That said, I love it I get why Sobek act the way he does. Of course casual fan or people who never saw Stargate may found it weird or off putting. I hope they stick to the story and I trust that it will be a plot point latter.
The only real weak point for me is the short chapters, and I belive "more please" is a problem every good story should have. I blame myself for finding this story so soon and not when more chapter was written.
But if it motivate CalmUrStorm to keep writting I will make that courageous sacrifice

I spent a long time looking for a good Stargate fanfic to read, so I'm glad I found this one.
The main character is compelling to read about and the changes to the lore provide an interesting twist to the Stargate world.
The descriptions are absolutely beautiful, but can be quite repetitive. The pacing of the story is also rather slow. After 40 chapters, I feel like the story's only truly beginning.
I sincerely hope the author is able to return to this story at some point, because I'd love to see where this all goes.

The stories about a human reincarnated as a Gaould Who acts like a Gaould. It’s also extremely long-winded, especially when it comes to descriptions of Rooms the mc Finds himself in. So in conclusion, I just found myself skimming through all the chapters just skip over all the flowery descriptions
