Leo has spent the bulk of his life crafting the story of his dreams. When he realizes he's on his deathbed, there is only one person he can trust with the characters he's poured his soul into---his younger sister, Shore.

In Leo's story world, humans and demi-humans, called "Denizens" co-exist in relative harmony within the grand capital, Kast Legari. But not all is well. Tensions run high between humans and Denizens with the introduction of special powers called "Jitters" creating divides between the populace, creating divides between the populace, and horrific beings called "Lurkers" terrorize the world.

The very foundation is threatened when Ren comes upon a Lurker unlike any he's ever seen. What he and his friends will learn about it will change everything they know about the fragile world they live in.
