I love scifi... so i might be a bit biased, but the hints at
first contact story
make this a very interesting read to me. I'm not sure I can describe exactly WHY I like it, but it just is something I personally enjoy. We'll see if the author does well exploring / describing it.
Style:
Pretty decently done, if only giving HINTS at the technology involved. It is interesting and makes me curious how the writer envisions it working. (Slingshot spaceships instantly to another star... ok, I can see that... but what does data also transfer instantly? stellar internet... VERY COOL, but how does the bifrost do that AND send physical matter as well? the description shows it's not really 'teleportation' but actual movement... (seems like-- COOL!) but how do you 'MOVE' data? Very curious and not too important to the story, and not deserving of a loss of stars BECAUSE THE AUTHOR did say it's soft sci-fi, so... ok... i'll cry in my bowl of milk here... (But!!! I want to KNOW!!! LoL)
Story:
Maybe the above should have been here, instead of in style, but I think story is more related to the actual events than in how the events / tech are used and described. In any event, the story is solid and has a good pacing, moving you quickly to the main point of the story while also making sure that the background is described enough for you to see the flow and understand the MC.
Grammar:
Good... nothing else to say. Unlike me, this author has their ducks in a row and I saw few mistakes and even fewer awkward sentences.
Character:
Here is where I likely have my greatest issues. Everything in this story is pretty well described, including the history, and gives reasons for MC's character, etc. However, the MC appears to never have had a lover before this and suddenly gets a love and kisses them in ... hours? It's... a bit fast... even for today, if I were to make an observation. Maybe i'm old fashioned in comparison to this world? It is future... my grandparents think getting into a - MidwayRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0So far the story seems fun, we will see how it develops.
Charaters are fun, it is still early in the story so im hoping to see more sides to them as it progresses.
The writing for my tastes could be more descriptive, but i do get a good sense off the main characters thoughts etc.
