Soul Knight starts a captivating tale with Nick who finds himself brought to another world. The author does a fantastic job of weaving a fun captivating tale with lots of world-building around the basis of a harem story. Neither gets in the way of the other. For the fun adventure and interesting characters alone I would say give the story a read.

Love it so far! Even with a harem it is still a good balance of battle, life, and learning for the MC. I really like how the system is working in this, more of a guide than a pointer, nice to see something actually be worked for. Take a look, you won’t regret it.

I enjoyed the read it has solid character progression. However, I felt that the final confrontation was a little anticlimactic I would have liked to see the antagonist provide more of a struggle, or maybe ran some additional subterfuge during the trial as it may have provided some additional opportunity for some personal history. Still I can't wait for the next book all the same

Overall, a solid start with some pacing issues. I would recommend spending a little more time on the main character’s situation before death to help the reader really get why he is fine with what happened. Even if he was not happy, this is still a massive change that he will need to adjust to.
In line with that - try to show more than tell. There was a line a few chapters back where one of the characters put on glasses and became a sexy librarian. That is telling. You’re relying on the reader to have a ready image of “sexy librarian” but you also need to have that overlayed with the character you are writing. Why does she remind our MC of a sexy librarian? What feelings does our MC have about sexy librarians? Was there a particular one he had a crush on?
Also, be careful with your world building. Are the glasses a magical item? What’s the tech level of the world? Glasses being owned by relatively poor folks are indicative of several other things you might not want to be true.
The main issue I think I have is the voice of the main character. Vernacular is frequently considered more readable but too much makes for flavor issues, in my opinion. This MC is kind of grating to read and much of it has to do with the way he communicates. If it is a stylistic choice, okay, fine, but make sure the choice is intentional. Also, again with telling and not showing. Don’t tell me what the MC is feeling, show through actions and reactions.
So far, there have been no explicit scenes, and I don’t have a problem with smut. Hell, I like smut when it is well written but given the issues I have with the MC’s voice, I cannot say I look forward to it with a great deal of excitement. Setting them aside as individual chapters is a great call, especially here on RR.
