Description

Set in the deep future, Gage is a pilot transporting models for hire between the Jovian moons. The girls are sold for a year or two doing everything required of them in their contracts. Gage is a sold man himself, having sold himself to Sleeping Beauty Inc. until he turns 30, but that might be a while as he spends 26 days out of 30 asleep on his ship. That is until one of the models he transports, Iona, has a contract for him. Looking over the contract, he can't believe his eyes. She can't really mean to buy him!

Opening handful of chapters slowly blossom, and suspend you itching for more. All the details were well thought out, and author hides cards well (almost too well). When traumatic backgrounds do stalk out into the open, it swings maniacally unpredictable as everyone starts to dash like pelt trappers and mammals trying to skin each other alive with the edges of futuristic currency and planetary distances to help shield outlaws and disguise the natures of their motive! Honestly, it's Dimensionally graphic enough and consuming in pace, that it ought to be a major film!

Consumed all eight chapters while cooking crepes for my daughter.
The world building is very interesting and I demand more. Unlike other Romance books I've checked, this one actually has a very logical worldbuilding reason for the prettyness of both of the mcs.
Alas, this book is a Romance and Romance series do very poorly on Royal Road as people come here to read litrpgs and fantasy and avoid Romance-themed books like they're the plague. If you got a more relevant cover made for it by AIs I'm sure it would do amazing on KU Amazon simply because the hook alone is very unique and fun. Everything is written really well - metaphors are smooth spelling is fantastic.

I thought this was just some romance/sex story from the sypnosis. Turns out the story had a decently deep plot with very dynamic characters and the twist at the end was very unexpected eventhough it was clearly forshadowed from the beginning.
The Main characters were great and had much more character dept than I initially thought.
A more proper story than most.

For some reason I want to start with the bad thing about this book, which is I didn't get a total suspension of disbelief... I was only 90% there
But it was otherwise glorious. No system or murder hobo story here!
Instead we got a distopian SciFi romance story. By distopian I mean return to the ancient custom of slavery, or selling oneself to slavery for financial reason, as well as spaceships and obscene wealth and power of modern oligarch. And the agonising pressure these applies to human soul and relationship. And a few other SciFi ideas.
Don't let my technobabble fool you. It's a very human love and desire story first. A surprising and pleasant departure from the usual story here! :)

This is the story of a man and a woman who were victims that slowly grow from giving in to mental demons to a healthy relationship.
Thankfully this story starts when both the man and woman are on the cusp of being released from slavery. The man is edging out by aging out and the woman plans to get out by marrying out.
Despite the exciting space drama, my favourite part about this story is the continual attitude of "I'm going to live a good life and that's the best comeback".
