Description
Author Updates:*Attention*TUESDAY'S RELEASE WILL COME OUT WEDNESDAY DUE TO EMERGENCY!***Synopsis:A long time ago, there was a golden age for mortals. Heroes walked among the masses, and the dao was the pursuit of all. It was a time of great prosperity. But then, calamity struck, and nearly all life in the mortal realms was wiped out. Desperate, survivors beseeched the gods for aid, but their prayers seemed to go unanswered—until Ea, The Great Savior, King of the Gods, descended. He subdued the calamity, herding it away to the depths of the earth, and was never heard from again.
Now, 1000 years later, a new age of heroes dawns. However, in times of heroes, disasters often lurk. With Ea still absent, the pressing question remains: If the sky is to fall, who will rise to bear its weight?

The prose and grammar are really nice. However I think the prologue is a bit much. I think it would work better broken up or dropped even.
Still If you are a fan of Xianxia you are in for a treat wirh Mythra. This story oozes love for the genre, preparation, and again I can't compliment the technical writing enough. - Son of LifeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5To be honest the almost 10k word prologue almost made me stop it before I even started.
Starting: The story start very vaguely, almost with no info. But, that's what made it interesting and by the end of the prologue most things started to make sense. The problem was I had to read the almost 10k word prologue multiple times to understand the start.
Power system and inspiration: the power system seems to be the typical cultivation one where more magical elements are involved, with more focus on what the characters are individually more than what the characters are with their power. And I think many things are taken from east asia culture and Noah's arc.
Over all I won't be scared by the prologue but be afraid if the quality will be maintained. - d.c.brums23564Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5The style of this story is vivid and engaging, characterized by its lively dialogue and dynamic descriptions. It features a blend of emotive storytelling and light-hearted moments, creating an atmosphere that is both tense and playful. The interactions between characters are filled with a mixture of earnestness and humor, adding depth to their relationships and individual personalities. Just what were those beings in the forest that night? (No I didn't read the prologue I will when I have more time and more chapters are present along with a more advanced review.)
The narrative effectively employs dialogue to advance the plot and reveal character traits, such as Favner’s dry humor and Siduri’s protective nature. Descriptive language enhances the setting and character actions, helping to build a vivid picture of the scene and maintain a fast-paced, immersive reading experience. When he was reading the bow in the tree to take down the boar, it really felt as though I was there due to the writing style.
Mythra feels and acts like a young boy would in his situations, and when the *thing* happens due to his recklessness the emotional impact is felt even though we are not present when he discovers it. (Sorry vague on purpose). Honestly though I want potato curry now that I've read this. - HitmarkRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0First lets start with positives. The story in itself is quite intriguing. The world is fairly packed with its own stories. The characters themselves have their depth, they have their own personalities and their interactions is alright. Although, sometimes it does feel a little monotonish for me. Now the bad part of this story is the way the author narrates the story itself. Often, the author explains a lil too much. Now, this can be a good thing but there are times it feels as though it's just there to fill in. Example would be in part in the get out of my kitchen where he explains stuff like how the ingredients create a mouth watering delicacy and it feels a little too wordy since we're already mentioning a delicacy and this is often linked to great food. This goes on for multiple other parts in other chaps but yeah.
- Tales ForgeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The opening provides a vivid and immersive environment. By that I mean chapter 2 by which I advise to start (the author recommend so in the chapter header note).
The story and character have the potential to unfold into a compelling cultivation tale. I just hope that, contrary to many Xianxia tales, the author will be able to conclude the narrative without endless cycles.
I'll probably read it in its entirety once it's marked as completed.
Style
The narrative is heavily descriptive, perhaps at times bordering on overly verbose. This can slow the narrative pace but succeeds in creating an immersive environment.
The plots hint at larger issues, especially with the early presence of mythical creatures in the backdrop of the first chapters. However, I found it a tad slow.
Grammar
The grammar is strong, using sophisticated language and structure with a few occasional preposition mix up. There are a few convoluted sentences but nothing that with burden the ease of understanding.
Story
Beside the first chapter, which I think should come later or be diluted in other later chapters, this starts with a compelling story. The plot shows potential for a lot of growth, with hints at larger conflicts and challenges for the protagonist. Yet, it could benefit from clearer initial stakes.
Character
Mythra is well-drawn, relatable, and sympathetic. His age surprised me in the beginning and I feared he would be too immature to be relatable, but it's not the case.
Some secondary characters could benefit from additional interactions to fully establish their relevance.
