  • Definitely a unique story, but really nice. The book starts off as a typical system book, but as it progresses it becomes fairly unique. I did not see a lot of it coming and it was a nice change from typical books of this genre. I’d recommend giving it a try.

It's a nice character-driven story that does not give the MC random power-ups on a silver platter. The system is also nicely done, reflecting growth rather than instigating it with random attribute points and whatnot. The author improves as the story progresses, and irons any writing kinks early on. It's a story that's definitely worth a shot.

Reminds me of solo leveling. Very good progressive fantasy. Very interested to see where the story goes.
The MC is capable but I do wish the author explained how he is so good at crafting besides the assumptions you have to make based on his backstory.
    Give it a try.

I am really loving how to story is coming together so far keep up the good work I want to see how far Ike can go! There are a lot of directions the story can go still. There is obviously more to build up and skills to be hunted I can not wait!

I really enjoyed my time with this one. There’s a lot to love, with Twists and turns in the novel going places I didn’t expect.
The magic system as presented doesn’t seem to have the depth for a long series, with not that many levels of power to explore, but we barely know anything about it due to the main character’s own inexperience and lack of formal education. Hopefully there’s a lot hidden beneath the surface to keep exploring for a long time.

Ignore most of the reviews that don't make it past chapter 20. It's actually quite a good read, and the Author also improves their writing. I swear it seems like most people want instant action and don't care for plot building or anything of the sort. If you only want action go watch porn.

ch. 23 currently - still too early for the story to really standout as anything spectacular or genre breaking, but sometimes when you want a standard chicken nugget, getting a standard chicken nugget is great.
pacing is solid, prose and dialogue are smooth and flow well. MC is, if not too charismatic, at least driven and clever.
maybe a little too clever? he figured out the upside down lightning dash in like 10 seconds. but it worked to maintain tension in that scene so.
silver is quickly my favorite character.
giant panther mentor figure old hermit master? yes please. also everything related to where this arc seems to be going - exploring the world, the dungeons, hunting, that all sounds like what will be the highlight of this story.
the antagonist characters so far are achingly stereotypical but none of them have outlasted their time in the story, to the point where you'd get sick of them, so far. that lack of depth might make a future overcity arc painful, but that's wildly negative speculation; my hopes for this story remain high.
system powerscaling, set up, etc. is largely an unknown so far, but what we do see is integrated pretty smoothly from a narrative perspective.

I found this on a search for system rules...
I have throughly enjoyed read what there is of so far.
The character isn't powerful at the start and is in dire need of upgrading themselves.
The type of system rules for the story are well thought out and implemented with the interface that can be followed by anyone.

My only gripe was that sometimes the humor (in the later half) got kind of repetitive with the main characters arguing about the same thing (spider diet). Otherwise, it is a great LitRPG and it could even be great to have a sequel with gods etc.
I also felt there were several loose ends that didn't fully connect.
Like the whole Abyss thing was not fully explored/explained even at the end. How/why did the villain have a 2nd Rosamund puppet instantly ready?
