Description
Xu Mo didn’t start off as anyone special. No grand bloodline, no ancient legacy. Just a quiet village boy adopted by a herb doctor and his wife, living a peaceful life with a smile on his face and dirt on his feet.
Then one day, the sky cracked open.
His childhood friend awakened something powerful—something terrifying—and was whisked away by sword-riding immortals. By the time the storm cleared, Xu Mo had lost everything: his home, his parents, and the only person he ever wanted to protect.
The world didn’t wait for him to grieve. He was tricked, abandoned, and thrown into the dirt like a broken tool.
But Xu Mo didn’t cry. He didn’t rage.
He just… watched.
Years later, when a sect opened its doors to new disciples, he stepped forward—not to chase glory or power, but because he had no choice left. What started as a step toward revenge might just lead him down a path the heavens never expected.
He doesn’t speak much. He doesn’t draw attention.
But behind those calm eyes?
He remembers everything.

- 13torchesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First things first, I am truly enjoying this story. The overall feel of the world, the personality of the main characters, the humor sprinkled in like candy. All of it is thoroughly enjoyable.
I do have a few notes. Sometimes the voice changes without warning throwing me off a little. By that I'm referring to times where it jumps from third person to first person and I am not sure whose thoughts I am reading.
Once in awhile there are a few grammar and spelling errors that just seemed to pull me out of the story. Nothing drastic, just times where words that could be the right words are later shown to not be the right words, like vassal and vessel. I spent several minutes trying to figure out what a vessel sect might be, before the word was changed to vassal and everything made sense.
I am unsure if those are style choices or grammar errors in every case, which is why I dropped those stars to four.
The story itself, and the characterizations, are all top notch. I feel myself rooting for the good guy and disliking the bad guy. As well as being concerned about the few people who seem to be both. Which is exactly what I love in a story. The buildup, the payoff, and the promise of even more story around the corner.
All in all, I heartily recommend this story. While there are flaws, they are being polished away with time, just like a gemstone being polished to perfection.
This is definitely worth the time to get into! - A fruit juice enjoyerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Reading silent dao sovereign has been a genuine joy for me and as book 1 finishes I can calmly say that I have enjoyed Xu Mo's journey and I look forward to how is journey progresses in the future.
What I especially enjoyed about this story is Xu Mo's character. The way he chooses to be a good person even though he doesn't have to is something I really enjoyed when reading him.
Furthermore the way the author explores his dao of silence is something I find interesting and I am eager to find how Xu Mo's ability progresses as his understanding of silence grows
All in all I have really enjoyed Silent dao sovereign and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good xianxia story. - HeartofGoldRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good start! Well written, vivid environmental descriptions, and the way you've introduced the MC's character and background is masterful. I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes! The only negative feedback I can give is that I'm not sure how strong of a hook the first chapter provides, but personally I don't mind.
- Paras RawatRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Bro I was looking for a good cultivation novel and found this . This did not disappoint me, while most mc are more ruthless and psychopaths this one being a simple good person is so relatable to me . Character feels like people and have their own story I am now just waiting for mc to step up his game and have more character development .
I think that will happen after some time in future .
I am not good in making review so iam sorry if what I wrote down is not insightful or helping the author. I will watch xu mo journey till the end with everybody .
Even writing all of this it's still not 200 words !! Man I am tired writing more.

I think the pace that everything happens is perfect for me. The grammar and spelling is also good. I haven’t seen any big problems there. The main character doesn’t get op right away and go around flaunting his strength to everyone. The introduction to a system was also surprising, but not really in a bad way. Especially since it seemed to be used more as a tool for character development than as a means to advance his strength.
While there were some decisions made in the writing that might make you scratch your head, I don’t really think they hurt my reading experience. It really just made me more engaged and determined to read more honestly.
Overall I think this is a great read so far and would definitely recommend checking it out if cultivation novels are something you enjoy. - NightstepsRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I love the style but sometimes the emojis are a bit silly. For the story, it’s quite good. It’s a classic cultivator story but it’s not about an arrogant mc but more about a mc that cultivate at his own rythme without being influenced by others. The writer also got a good style and a good grammar. I also love the concept of the Silent Dao, it’s quite mysterious. If I have some suggestion, it would be to stay focused on the characters because there’s already a lot of character. I would also suggest putting more training on martial art because Xu Mo just trained his body or stay focused on his Dao but there’s not enough sparring involved. There’s nothing else for me to say and I hope there’s more bonus chapters. Why does it have to be 200 Words.😭 dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao dao. I hope you get more followers. I also hope long something die soon.👍 no harem is also 👍. Thank you for this story and I hope you continue this story until it ends. Believe it or not, i’m tired of writing already. Reading is good. 👍
- Krs88Royal Road★★★★ 3.5For someone cultivating the dao of silence and avoiding the spotlight the mc is walking the same path all the other protagonists of this genre did before.
He isn´t sneaky and he doesn´t avoid crowds or personal interactions.
The only thing he does differently is that he avoids face-slapping contests that are so common in this genre.
All in all it´s a decent story, a good one if you like the genre, however what caused me to stop reading and remove 2 stars from the story score is the system.
In my eyes the system is a tool an interface, I have never seen a story where I liked it when the MC and the system talked with each other -1 storypoint
I absolutely despise it when outside OP factors that add nothing to the story mess with the MC, so the talking system messing with the MC -1 storypoint
Comes out to 14/20 points or 70% or 3.5/5 stars.
WTF do you mean I need to write 200 words? I already said everything.
Still not enough, is there some kind of word counter?
Who came up with that bs 200 word number wouldn´t 100 words be enough?!
And still too few words... If I click submit one more time and this thing fails to post again I´m changing my review to a normal review give it its 3.5 stars and the only thing I´ll write is "Meh"... - TianyiRoyal Road★★★ 2.5As a review reviewer, ShadowTraton, has already done, the novel loses something after chapter 100, the previous situations were coherent, but now I don't feel it anymore, that composure that it kept in the chapter 1.
The characters become more and more artificial as the story goes on, besides complicating the subplots or the mc's path.
I would recommend this novel only for the first 100 chapters, but after that, it's really up to them. - ShadowTratonRoyal Road★★★ 2.5The protagonist Xu Mo is careful, smart, and bides his time. He has otherworldly patience and self-control to the point where he doesn't lash out at basically anything--just like the synopsis says, but he remembers everything.
All that makes for a very entertaining read when following him even on everyday business in the sect. The side characters are also quite interesting with varying motivations and stories.
Short of it being (merely) an above-average Xanxia story, everything is good and fine until roughly chapter 100. I don't know what happened at that point, but the effect on the chapters is immense.
Gone is Xu Mo's patience when he suddenly berates people for the most laughable of things (compared to what he kept inside before).
Gone is his intelligence when he asks help of something he absolutely should not and has every reason not to even interact with, but some artificial urgency makes him regardless.
Gone are the smart side characters that, while supposedly wanting Xu Mo to survive and thrive, do everything in their power to make life difficult for him, on top of just proving to be frustratingly incompetent.
In a nutshell, mostly everything I've come to enjoy about this story is being taken away in the span of a few chapters. Again, I don't know what exactly happened, but this is no longer something I can enjoy.
Surprisingly, the grammar is really good, especially for someone saying it's their third language, so props on that. Unfortunately, it can't make up for such a level of character assassination. So unless some considerable rewrites fix certain characters and the plot, I can no longer recommend this. - HappiesW2Royal Road★★ 2.0Good idea for a novel but the execution is pretty bad. The writing is extremely messy and confusing and the story has pacing issues. The early chapters are unreadable and I didn't like the frequent switch in perspective. Overall - could be better but there is some potential
Sorry for the bad review but for now 2 stars
