Description

War on the horizon. A realm struggling for Balance. A boy in the crossfire.

Saemus' life with his family was good if you ignored the strange voices he could hear whispering quests to him that alienated him from the rest of his small village, but the Middling Forest in the Fae Realm is a harsh place and his family is able to get by with the other elves in the area.

But when an attack on the village prompts his parents to fight and he sees something strange following them, he's thrust into the war between the Seelie and Unseelie Courts for the rights to the bounties of his homeland. Conscripted into service years before he should have even been considered ready to fight, Saemus is meant to attend the prestigious Sidhe Academy, where the two courts' newest generations of warriors train and learn.

Saemus will need all the power he can manage if he is to navigate the political games that lay ahead, and figure out how to survive what is coming. Because this academy is a war zone that only leads to another.

I dunno why some people are hating on it so hard.
Maybe it doesnt deserve 5 stars but 1 or 2 Star ratings are a travesty.
yes, its a chosen one scenario and the litprg system is kinda cheating for mc. Give it a minus star. Yes the beginning is kinda rough but he does gain an incredible chance in exchange for it all so he really shouldnt hate his captors too much. Worst one was dealt with anyway. Take another star at most.
the general writing, character interactions, world building and fight scenes are all well executed.
depending on how this develops this could easily turn into a great story despite any generic elements.
Since 5 stars usually really means more like nothings wrong with it and it makes me wanna keep reading, going by some other 5 star stories, this easily gets 5 Stars.

It's a very interesting novel. The author has excellent world building skills. Past and present of the elven kingdoms described without it sounding like infodump - being in school helps of course. Litrpg elements are unobtrusive. The one thing wrong with it is that it doesn't have a good editor. Some sentences don't make sense. Missing words or wrong words break up the flow. However, once this is fixed this would be a 5 star entry. I give 5 star anyway so that some good samaritan notices the story and comes over to fix the small errors.

This is a story that is a fun, funny, and probably going to be a guilty pleasure.  It is a OP elf boy who is semi-forsed into the army... He has a system when it appears no one else does... He now needs to figure out how this all works before someone tries to kill him... Again.
    Grammar: very good
Story: simplistic but reasonably good world building (if vague still). However, while It is a stupid power fantasy, the story has not been bland or predictable making it fairly fun to read.
    Style: consistent and well written
Characters: simplistic... But the MC has some sass if you like that.
It isn't bad, give it a read...
That said, I am going to be a bit harsh in the following parts as this author is promising so I want to give feedback because this work shows the beginning of some real tallent.
I will be blunt, the Mary Sue is very very strong with this one (except MC is male so Gary Stu or whatever).  He is exceptional and amazing in basically every way.  He is extremely abrasive and sassy to everyone, but everyone loves him almost immidately (except the antagonists whose hate and arrogance seems to be their only trait).  He also is learning everything exceptionally quickly on top of already being amazing even without the system.
    Some detailed discussion below
Basically the story revolves around making him look good so a lot of the time things don't make sense.
The understanding of his system gives whiplash.  Even he doesn't know anything about it... Then a few chapters later even his mom is familiar with the catalyst and happy he found one. (No explination given)
His parents were first so unimportant they are beaten for even speaking out... Then a few chapters later they give a gift that leaves the school speechless.
His patrons first don't care, then almost immidiately really take care of him, then soon after support him in his arrogant lashing out at another noble family... Yes they insulted the girl too, but it was pointed out the family didn't care about her much.

"Sidhe Academy: Avatar" is well written, with a clear goal and structure. The story follows a believable, yet simple plot making it enjoyable to read and easy to follow.
The characters also have defined traits, although they often seem to act differently from when he first encounters them. More often than not in a way that is more beneficial for him.
Due to the simple and straightforward nature of the story it so far lacks deeper plot, although that may come with time.
Few spelling mistakes also help keep a continuous flow.
Critique that I have would be that there doesn't seem to be enough obvious challenges for the MC beyond the main point that forced him to where he is and almost everyone that he meets treats him well.
All in all a enjoyable read and one I hope to contine.

    ★★ 2.0
So, the mc is kidnapped, his parents kicked. Then somebody tries to kill him and in self defense kills the f*cker. So, obviously now he owes the live of the man he killed ...
Then he is brought to an academy to learn to fight for the ones that kidnapped him, mistreeted his parents and who see him as a tool ... aren't they worried the mc will kill them?
By the way, the academy is run by an independant and neutral group that train both sides that are at war. If they were a neutral group they would remain ... neutral, and not interfere in the war.
Overall, the story doesn't make sense.
At least the story is well writen, not perfectly though.

As I said in the title of the review, there are just so many times that the MC is singled out and shown that he is a 'prodigy' or smart or any other number of positive traits. It's super annoying because it breaks the immersion. This problem really needs to change if the author does any other stories because everything else is decent enough and I would read it as long as the universe didn't worship the idea of how epic and special the MC is.
TL;DR, recommended if you like hero MCs who are worshipped by the universe for doing nothing.
