    Its great to read a military fiction that isn't shy of developing the political situation around the conflict. It's all in a fictional world with invented cultures and peoples of course, but parallels can easily be drawn into the real world if the politics of war are interesting to you.
    There is obviously a lot being set up for the story to become entangled with the different factions and their goals. I haven't gotten that far before reading this review, but I'm sure Exp has something fun in mind for us.
    I struggled a little with the large cast of characters, since i find it difficult to remember who is who sometimes, but I greatly appreciated Exp giving me a dedicated description of the important characters to help me set them apart in my imagination.
    The descriptions of actions and the characters reaction to battle scenarios I found to be excellent, describing the physical layout of the battle well and having the characters react well.
    Overall I'm very happy to have come across the story and I will no doubt have a good time reading the rest.
