Shattered Moon is a high-fantasy adventure set on the tidally locked moon of Ruvera, which some seventy odd-years ago was ravaged by a magical catastrophe that weakened the walls between planes and rendered most of the continent an uninhabitable nightmare of shifting dimensions and terrible monsters.

The story follows Adeena, a chain-smoking, pointy earred, gambling addicted, and down on her luck mercenary captain old enough to remember the world before the Wyrdcoming. Lured by the promise of piles of coin, she signs on with an expedition organised by the Draconic Imperium, the authoritarian empire she once took up arms against, where dragons rule over mortals with an iron claw.

It should be simple: into the Wyrdwastes, grab some treasure and artefacts and whatnot, and then get out again before the Long Night falls. That's the theory, at least. But instead of a straightforward, if dangerous, job, Adeena and her small crew find themselves drawn into a web of deadly political manouverings, bitter inter-departmental fueds, and the consequences of the dragons' arbitrary rule-by-fiat.

    As of chapter 17:
    *: notes for the author.
Adena a seasoned captain and her right hand ageless elf, bankrupt and withered , take on a  dangerous contract with the Imperium, An authoritarian and pragmatic regime, to go on an expedition exploring shattered lands looking for truths hidden in the sands, but do they get more than they bargaind fo? it's for you to find out.
Adeena is charming, powerful, gentle yet vulnerable, brave not fearless, a true op character, conflicted but still resolute.
*her worldview is somewhat inappropriate for her age.
Other characters are decently crafted, there hasn't been much development yet.
Author has a flair for writing, eloquent with great vocabulary, I learned a few words. grammar nazis will have a hard time with this one.
*I gotta say earlier chapters had a bit more meat I suppose.
Pacing is great, maybe a bit fast, it affects the reading experience  minimally.
Bits and pieces of the story are revealed to us each chapter, which makes you crave for more.
It's too early to make a judgment on the plot, but it is dense, often challenges the characters moral compass and mental capacity, in addition to some decent combat here and there.
The world is interesting ... sometimes generic, we encounter intriguing creatures and people. We are yet to explore much of the world but it is still quite early.
    Thank you.
