Description
It's a common misconception that we all see ourselves as the heroes in our own stories. Sometimes, hunting down the ones who caused you harm comes with the hefty cost of becoming exactly what you hate the most. Shadows Rise is a story about grief, revenge, and the consequences one must face when overcome by either.
It begins with two brothers who find themselves alone in the wake of a traumatic loss and become involved with a group of people set on taking revenge on one of the deadliest forces known to Valcrest.
Shadows Rise is the first of a series of web novels set in the land of Valcrest.We've changed to an irregular posting schedule for the foreseeable future due to life circumstances. The characters are very well-defined and interesting, and the set up has you rooting for these underdogs. The grammar is also very good. I'm pretty sure it's a team of two people writing this one, and one of them writes most of the story while the other edits. All of that makes for a tightly written story. It's definitely worth a look!
