- ChillsniperRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good soup
Great character development
Great side characters
Great world building
Great back story
The story feels like it's progressing while also has moments that show the characters being human
Like how the story goes into politics, particularly showing how our mc doesn't automatically know everything and learns
It's cool how you show how op the MC is while also showing that everyone is a maincharacter in their own story
Does it suck when she loses, yes, but it makes the story realistic by acknowledging that you can't be the best at everything - DefinitelyNotAReptileRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5tl;dr: I was impressed by the emotional depth of the characters and the story so far is good, maybe lacking a bit of originality. The style is very hit or miss, but never bad enough to truly make this a bad read and the grammar could use a round of editing, but the story is still very readable. Overall I recommend!
To be honest, I had a hard time rating the style. The prose is more flowery than your usual royal road fiction but it's very hit or miss for me. Sometimes it's very well done and adds a quality to the reading experience that you usually don't get on here. Other times it's awkward and/or overdone with comparisons and metaphors that don't really need to be there, or that straight up don't work. The text is very descriptive at times and while sometimes they are a bit overdone and long winded, most of the time they are just what the story needs.
The story so far is still relatively simple, and has very few meaningful differences between it and the classic ''reincarnated as a noble daughter/child is found to be a lost relative of a noble'' story. It might not be very original, but it is however very well done. I'm kept interested and curious about what could happen next at every development! The world is also interesting enough and provides a good framework on which the story is built, but isn't so far detailed enough for me to truly be immersed in it.
The grammar is a bit of a low point for the story. There are a lot of typos, repeated phrases, wrong spellings and such. It's not bad enough to make it hard to read but it's at a point where sometimes it pulls me out from the story and that's a real shame!
The characters of this story, especially the main character, are where it truly shines! The emotional depth written here had me hooked and attached to the MC in the very first chapters. The cast have believable motivations and their actions reflect that, as well as their interactions. The dialogue is well written and while sometimes it's a little hard to follo - ReedweaverRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5In my opinion, reviews are just people's views of a story. I'm not a professional reviewer, so my comments are simply a function of how I enjoyed the story.
I sort of agree with the review by DefinitelyNotAReptile.
There are parts of the story I found a bit annoying, but there are other parts that I enjoy.
The story is tagged as a drama, so if you go in expecting a fast paced action story, you probably won't enjoy it too much. That said, even with how slow paced it is, there's a bit of character growth.
Ultimately, it will be a hit or miss for people, however for me, it's a welcome change from the fast paced stories I usually prefer - PerkyTricksRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This series has brought great enjoyment. The story premise is interesting and promising, the plotline is engaging and well thought out, and the characters are top tier. The story often makes me want to read and binge more. The Mysteries of the world and her circumstances are interesting. The characters are a chef kiss, each character brings something to the table generally fun to learn about and read about.
As mentioned by others, the grammar is pretty bad, one chapter was duplicated but missing paragraphs. Others have misspelt words or poor sentence structuring that sometimes causes me as a reader to get taken out of the story.
Some chapters have poor execution, a well thought out plan turns into a poorly or completely skipped scene. Ravina planning sneaky kid sneaking out fooling people, check. Ravina actually having a scene of sneaking out, uhm skipped. Other scenes include argument scenes being cut off halfway and never finished.
Character assassination are a bit of a problem. Let's take Ravina as an example, a character we get to know early. A lot of time is put in for us to get to know old Ravina and get attached to her... just for her to be replaced with a completely different personality which im no longer invested it.
Mysteries and dramas are skipped. her village, she kind of just leaves with a lot left to happen. Maybe maybe-not evil village leaders? who knows. Family and siblings? Forgotten, not cared for. I get theres glue filled in on how its justified as ravina isn't herself anymore but... it feels bad being invested into so much about the village just for us to go on our marry way with so many loose ends.
Overly described things/people/stuff. Sure, we get more details, but i dont always need to know exactly what a table or room looks like. Sometimes basic is better, sometimes a bit more detail is better. It's important to find the correct mix. Sometimes im reading a detail of some person or object that seems irrelevant and i just get bored reading abo
