Gong Lu was the perfect prodigy. Born into the position of Crown Prince, he was able to speak fluently at two, and read the works of great scholars with comprehension at eight. At sixteen, his father died and Gong Lu conquered the three provinces soon after. He could concoct plots that spanned countries, and scheme the scales off a dragon.But below the surface, he was in agony. Gong Lu could not live the life he had to with happiness, and deep down, the genius regretted his intelligence. He detested the fact that he could scheme and trick, abhorred the ruthlessness that came with power.And so, he died with regrets. Despite unifying the world under one flag, despite mitigating discrimination, poverty, and dissent, despite crushing all conspiracies under his unfathomable mind, Gong Lu's last words were: "If I could start again..."And so he did. Gong Lu swore that in this life, that he would not scheme or fool. They said that tricks were useless before absolute power. And this was what he wanted. This was what he would achieve.

    It's good to see a character who actually has to work to be OP, and even better to see one who actually has a (good) reason for doing what he does.
    Well done info dumps, you didn't just lump it all into one chapter that nobody can get passed and repeating it every few sentences to get a word limit. Honestly really good, can't wait to see where you take this.
    You also actually speak the English language like you know how to, rather than just cobbling words together and hoping to make a sentence!

    I read the synopsis and was thoroughly pleased about being able to find a novel that genuinely sounded interesting rather than the boring reads I find almost anywhere else. ( Saying this I still read them all as I am also addicted to reading.
    So I scroll down hoping for at least twenty or thirty chapters, sadly that was a nope. But that won't last for to long hopefully. In order to hopefully kick start the author into writing more I have put this in my favorites and decided to do a review. Please don't hate on the fact that I am reviewing a novel with only five chapters.
    Anyway grammar and spelling, I didn't notice to many problems, a few accidental spelling mistakes which one would find in any piece of literature. There were a few spots where the flow of the reading would be interrupted but they weren't to bad and were far from unbearable.
    Character, there has been only two characters introduced so far as of chapter five. The main character and ( spoiler so skip if you want. ) his previous life's wife. The wife was introduced during the prologue, but I hope to see her in the future. Anyway the main character is pretty decent, a bit average. Though it is odd that someone so old and smart would rely so much on luck. But that is the only serious character flaw. Honestly can't give a great judge of character at this point in the story unfortunately.
    Style, it is pretty good, the story is very easy to read which is better than can be said about many of the stories on this site and even many translated ones.
    Story, I will admittedly be a bit biased with this as I love the super bold and front attacking type of character. It always angers me seeing the character go for the sneaky and speedy or magical route of attack. I like soul cultivation stuffs as well, but nowhere near as much as body cultivating bad asses who crush everything. ( I hope body cultivation is at least a small feature of the story and not just a side result of one of the Mc's other techniques. ) Anyway t
