I wanted to write an Isekai with believable characters. I hope you like it.

- turtleshakerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So overall the story hasn't released many chapters so take this review with a grain of salt. Things can change greatly in a few amount of chapters. Also there will be minor spoilers...
The story is really good overall to this point. The only serious problem I see is that many of the characters we've been introduced to from the hero's sides have been extremely tropy or cliche. like the gamer guy who wants tons of wives, the power hungry asshole, the guy who latches on to the MC etc... the main issue with this though is that there's only been 10 chapters and a large part of that was the MC going off on her own. So they really haven't had time to be developed past their initial meetings. Hence why I mentioned it's low chapter count. Overall I'd still reccomend giving it a read though for sure. - jalvey1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is not often that I find a story on Royal Road that has interesting characters, dynamic interactions/attitudes, and a realistic/fun sense of humor. The author also does a really good job of instilling gravity in situations where you would expect it. Very impressed with this book. I hope that the author continues to write the story at the pace he is as I am really enjoying the story. Well done sir!
- CiainaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The VERY good:
1) Logical time loop with attention to details. There are no logical fallacies here.
2) The main protagonist. She SUCKS. And I love it. I don't think the choice of being californian is random. She doesn't make stupid choices, but she doesn't make smart ones either. She is EXTREMELY hypocritical, and she is emotion driven, but not completely. Massive PTSD, short temper, jaded, with more than a few mental issues, but she KNOWS it. And tries to work around it, but not solve them.
Love it. There were many ways she could have made better plans, but she didn't fumble either.
It's like watching a dumb protester being graced the wisdom of experience.
The bad:
Some of the "antagonists". For something with this much thought put into it, them being evil feels a bit like a "Deus ex machina". Forced? Forced.
At least for Him. He is a well balanced, rational and driven human that HAPPENS to be secretly terrible, even if it takes a lot of work to bring out the psycho.
And She? She is just out of "mean girls". She is cartoonishly evil. As in "I would bake your babies and eat them in front of you if it would bring me benefits" evil.
But the rest? Solid. VERY solid.
Give it a read! - Merritt Weber (Doom)Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0So right off the bat, the pace of this story is written at breakneck speed. Once the summons happen, the author blazes through the whole process, dumping info and events one after another with pretty much no break until around chapter 19 or 20 or so, where it slows down a little. It's still extremely fast though.
I like the story a lot, and I will continue reading for sure, but the pace often moves the story from point to point before I've had a chance to rest and appreciate the events taking place.
If that sounds like something you enjoy, then this fic is for you. - SFGFRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Yes, a lot of what you are about to read you can find in many litRPGs and time loops BUT, and this is very important but, the author is a great narrator, the story is engaging and the MC is always developing. The story is vertiginous and enrapturing, each chapter is important to the story and you just keep reading.
The protagonists capture you in such a way that you are always on the verge of your seat wondering how, or when are they going to die if they die. Constant plot twists that keep you guessing.
I'll be honest when I started reading this, I thought I was up for a dish of more of the same, constant nonsense chapters, of a mind-numbing story. Thankfully I was wrong, this story is thrilling. Any review that describes it as any less, is not making it justice. I am curious how it will evolve with time. - SerasStreamsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story was gripping from the start to the end (Patreon lets you read ahead!)
First off...the premise. Dear God, why didn't I think of it? It's such a fantastic idea for a story. Excellent idea to grip the audience into the story and immediately help us resonate with the main character having that 'drive' to achieve a goal.
Second, the writing style. It is unique enough to have its own voice and I can really feel when the author is trying to authentically convey emotions, versus providing description/narration/exposition. There is a nice, clean break between the two parts of the writing.
Third, the dialogue. It's believable and doesn't come off as 'dry' or 'stiff' which makes it easy to follow.
In my original review, I had criticized some of the pacing. But, after reading the whole thing, I can see that it was a necessity for the later portions (and more important parts) of the plot.
I love the story, and can’t wait to see the MC’s journey continue.
5/5, can’t more highly recommend. Go support the author! - XtraRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's very good at interactions between characters. It brings them to life. Some parts are too fast paced but that isn't a big problem later on. The beginning can be hard to get into but it is worth it for the payoffs. There are moments truly shine and makes you want to keep reading.
- idanallmightyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0i started this book today, and boy oh boy did it took all of my attention from everything else. Great believable MC and other side characters, realistic as a fantasy book can be. The storyline has a special twist that changes it from the normal way the story goes. A great read.
wish for more chapters but can’t rush a masterpiece I guess. - Galaxy876Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Not your everyday hero or isekai story. Our MC has trauma by the truckloads and her moral compass is solidly not on the side of good. The first few chapters have writing that makes it clear the author is new.
A gem in the rough, but something made me keep reading, and now I'm at the last chapter and willing to see where it goes. GIve it a try - astralFitzRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Interesting regression scenarios are always fun to read, and this has a pretty good hook so far.
Some of the narrative pacing seems a bit rushed, but that could just as readily be read as the protagonist's own perspective on things. She's definitely got the 'scarred veteran' vibe down, and seeing how she adapts to a do-over will no doubt be quite compelling to follow.
