Hearing the high concept of this story immediately had me hooked: what if Cthulhu announced himself to the world and those of the stars as humanity's god? But while still a terrifying monstrosity, this Cthulhu has a benevolent aspect to him, and appears to have humanity's best interest at heart... at least, his own idea of their best interest.
Style: The author's prose is competent, and there are some fun descriptions of Cthulhu and assorted people's reactions to him. Nothing especially stood out as outstanding stylistically, but there weren't any pitfalls I've noticed, either.
Story: The story unfolding so far is interesting, I'm looking forward to reading more. A warlike alien empire has made first contact with humans by kidnapping an astronaut, and after being snubbed by the aliens' god Cthulhu introduces himself to Earth to give humans a leg up. The author used to write on reddit's "humanity fuck yeah" community, and his leanings do show; while I got a good chuckle out of  lines like the astronaut saying he'd absolutely eat his captors if he had to, I have found the antagonistic alien race a bit too weak in comparison to seem like a credible threat. Still, there's other races yet to get involved and plenty more to develop, so this may be mitigated later on.
Grammar: There are a few minor typos, but overall the spelling and grammar are accurate and easy to follow as far as I've seen.
Characters: I'll just get this out of the way first, I like this story's take on Cthulhu a lot. He's an ancient, scheming being with a very inhuman sense of morals - he outright tried to kill off humanity in the past - but he loves humanity too, and does genuinely appear to want to see us flourish. As a protagonist, he does a lot to carry the story. The other characters so far, while entertaining, have not done as much to interest me yet, but they seem capable and generally likable and there's plenty of time for them to further develop.
Overall, I'd definitely say this one is worth a

A Space opera with a divine twist.
It's an intriguing premise, Cthulhu, one of the Great Old Ones, rising up from the depths of the ocean to proclaim itself the official God of humanity.  That definitely had me hooked from the start and I just had to keep reading to see how it all panned out.  Overall I enjoyed it a lot.
The writing style was competent and gave me a decent image in my head of what the author was trying to describe without falling into the trap of using an entire paragraph to describe something in detail when at some point it just needs to be left up to the readers imagination.  The grammar was also good with only one or two typos here and there that I noticed.
My only gripe is that the story isn't long enough, the author has created an entire universe and could easily create a massive sprawling epic with many characters and more detailed stories from this.  The author only really touched upon different story elements like gamer powers/magic, world building and could've explored them some more.  This story sort of feels like a foundation for more.
Overall though, I liked the story and would recommend to others
