- AnaBelenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An extremely powerful story of a young lady trying to find her place in the world after being bullied for being different. She has a very interesting personal development. I have had the pleasure to read the whole book and it is amazing! It has everything a good novel should have! The build up of the story is super interesting and love the adventures of Sophie (main character). That fact that magic it's part of the whole story, makes it even better and shows the overflowing imagination and creativity of the author. I like how the characters are being introduced in the story and also their personalities, the more you know about them, the more you like them as the work put on them to bring them to life is amazing. Furthermore, the adventures are super entertaining and it's super fun to read them. I think it also has a didactic approach for kids and can help them understand the concept of empathy and friendship and how to embrace diversity. As a cherry on top, the drawings are amazing and they have been done by the author so it shows how much love and effort is put in this novel. I highly recommend to read this book! Definetly, a book I want my kids to read and I hope the author keeps writing new stories soon as he has talent and it is already impressive for a first novel.
- KosRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've only read one chapter so far and I'm hooked! Also, the artwork is fantastic. That only adds to the story. It's about a bullied kid that ends up going to a magical school. Did I mention this kid's got spunk? Everybody needs to give this story a shot. I can't wait to get all caught up. I'll leave an advanced review when I do.
- QuackAttackRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is just delightful. It tells the story of an akward and lonely girl who gets sent to a magical school and meets a bunch of fun and bizarre classmates (who are, of course, all different types of fantasy creatures) and finally finds a place where she fits in.
The story is a lot of fun right from the start, starting out simple, but getting more complex and exciting as it goes on. All throughout, one of the best parts is definitely the characters, who all have their own unique personalities and play off each other really well. If someone made an animated series all about Sophie's classmates, I would definitely watch it.
Also, every chapter is fully illustrated, and the drawings just get better and better!
