This is a weird world the author has crafted. I like weird. I like being thrust into the midst with little information aside from vivid scenes painted in beautiful descriptive prose. I did not know where I was or how the hell I got there, but I was there, in the thick, feeling the heat of the fires and smelling the death. It was lovely. The discomfort at being so lost does fade but be prepared to be assaulted by jargon and titles that mean nothing at first mention. Things are revealed, though slowly. And while I enjoy longform storytelling, it can be off putting to leave your readers in the dark so long. But there is light at the end of every tunnel, and I would urge any wary or curious readers to push on.
The authors craftmanship wonderful, it reads like a book, it is a novel, wrought with the meticulous care found in any printed media. There are some stumbles and hiccups in the opening, as the author seeks to find their voice, but these passages do not linger overlong, and I found myself engrossed midway through. The setting is unique, mysterious, hard to place time and locale, but real all the same. I am reminded of the work of Garth Nix in Sabriel, how he portrayed necromancers and the juxtaposition of a modern-ish world against a fantasy trope and realm. It leaves the reader wanting more.
It is a dense read, though an engrossing one. A definite gem in the proverbial rough. I would recommend this for any seeking something out of the ordinary or want a story that actually reads like a novel. I have a few stylistic quibbles, particularly around some hanging dialogue, but they do not detract from the narrative.

Great story!
Style is succinct and easy to read, but pacing is weird at times, like longer topics being cut short. The dialogue is a standout. A lot of webnovels have really cringey teenagy dialogue. Here at the least the adults talk like adults not anime protagonists.
Story is engaging so far. Look forward to seeing more. It looks like a really long book. Hoping for regular updates! It seems a lot of setup for a non-typical world, which means a lot of exposition might be required. Dunno if there will be one big dump of it eventually, but so far it seems really good! An engaging blend of action, drama, and exposition.
Grammar is good. Again, some spots seem oddly paced and somewhat hard to read. Dunno why though. I think maybe it’s because there’s some really intricate mechanics being discussed but the story really wants to move forward, so it leaves behind a lot of strange words unexplained.
Aside from the main character, the rest of the guys aren't that distinct. The Maestros all seem like generic corporate villains. But it's kinda like how the Witcher is carried by Henry Cavill though - as long as the protag is engaging it's all good.
