Follow the evolution of a Demon girl as she learns to survive in a fantasy world!
The life of an Infant Demon is a bloody grind to the top. For Salvos, a curious newborn Demon with a penchant for making friends, surviving the swarms of wild Demons in the Netherworld was always going to be a difficult task. She will adapt, gain experience, and evolve to survive this hellish landscape with the help of her sole companion.
But when her companion's life is threatened by a mysterious Demon King, she'll have to do what it takes to save him. Even if it means separating from him and being tossed into an unfamiliar world with Humans, monsters, and a bright blue sky where she is scorned for being born a Demon.
However, the law of evolution is survival of the fittest, and no matter where she is, Salvos will survive.
Do note that it's a slow-paced but action-packed litrpg!

- ThundamooRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Salvos is not a groundbreaking masterpiece. It's not an exciting adventure the likes of which you've never seen before. You will not be bowled over with awe at its unrelenting magesty. But that's not what a story has to be in order to shine. Sometimes I just want to read something that gives me a goofy smile. Salvos is that story.
A lighthearted adventure about a demon trying to go home to see her friend, Salvos starts off a little dark but quickly progresses into an almost sitcom-style journey about a silly, dorky demon girl who likes to fight making friends with humans and repeatedly baffling them. The plot progresses smoothly and sensibly, the character motivations are simplistic but consistent, and Salvos's slow character progression, while occationally heavy-handed, is satisfying and enjoyable to read.
MelasD is a fantastic author with an excellent sense of grammar and flow. Chapters are snappy and I never found myself getting bored with the pacing or uninterested in the current objective. Past the beginning section, the story just feels fun. Tropes from similar stories are introduced with amusing twists, combat is snappy and interesting but never feels grim, and the constantly upbeat attitude of the main character is a joy to read.
To anyone looking for a simple fantasy romp to make you grin, I can't recommend this enough. - DarthPotatoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love this series. The story is somewhat chaotic which perfectly matches the personality of Salvos. It's always following Salvos' whims, but while still keeping consistency and tying everything together.
It's a great exercise in viewing from a different mentality: I've read several monster mc stories and they mostly all still hold human values and become less "monstrous" as the story progresses. Salvos however keeps a firm grasp on her identity, and though she has fun with humans she doesn't think like humans, and since the story is from her perspective it makes for a very entertaining read. - Edward RavenbearRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0When you enjoy a book, you just do, at least that is how I see it. And I have really enjoyed this read. I will buy Vol 1 just to support the author. A fine job, keep at it. It is a very unique take on the group, and Salvos reminds me of another on RR called " Misadventures of a Rampageinng Demon" and the loli Elder God in "" which you can find on Amazon and Scribble Hub. These book(s) have been well worth the read.
- Darath69Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0MelasD creates well crafted characters who are entertaining and witty. The world-building has been really interesting providing a great backdrop for the main character Salvos and Salvos' companions Daniel and Edithe. The author introduces other characters during the stop who are unique and interesting in their own right.
I love that though this is set in a fantasy world where the characters level up and earn skills, that there is far more to the story than that.
The author is very aggressive at removing older chapters. If you like reading the story on here, do not fall behind by even a few weeks! - Ranny22Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Not an extemely complicated story, character is fun, It is like a fresh breeze among tons of litrpg series on RR. It does not make always all about fighting, which can get boring. Character build up is really well. World-building is slow but you won't be confused with it. Overall, a really good series.
- Someone_elseRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'm having a great time with this one. Not perfect. There are a fair number of weaker chapters sprinkled throughout but the journey is mostly very entertaining with the dungeon crawling and leveling up being my favorite parts. Quite enjoyable characters too. The main character provides some fun comic relief but also isn't completely absent character growth either.
- AstrafieldRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Man I've been enjoying this story. I can shut off my brain and enjoy Salvos beating up some monsters, befriending mortals, and as of late, raising her three children. While it's nothing revolutionary, the main trope in my opinion carries the story with our naive main characters stumbling through situations and somehow finding herself stronger. It's a fun read, and I've binged my way to the end, and now have to wait for more chapters *cries*. Read Salvos Hellprincesesesesesseseeeesssssessseses
- Koolaid Packet EditsRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I loved this story. I absolutely recommend reading the first volume, it's well polished with very few grammatical errors, and very amusing. THEN, at some point (or maybe it had been going on the entire story and I was just engaged enough to ignore it) the grammar dropped abysmally- probably close to triple as many mistakes as before. At this same point, the author decided to experiment with using italics. Up until then, with very few exceptions, italics had been used strictly for internal dialogue, as is the norm. Suddenly, nearly every time the author wanted to indicate volume in dialogue, they began to italicize on top of using exclamation points. In a few places, there are full conversations which are entirely in italics, which is honestly just ugly. At this point, it became a stumbling block every time I came across italics in the story, as I had to figure out which way he was using them whenever they came up. I finally put down the story at chapter 64, when the author decided that having two usages wasn't enough, and started to just italicize words seemingly at random. Some examples from chapter 64:
"Sunlight seeped through the cracks in the leaves— the intermingling foliage not thick enough to blot out the sun"
"The Human man jumped but Rachel simply cocked her head"
"A burning clawed hand raked through his chest",
"but his attacker— a feral four legged monster— bounded onto him a moment later"
Maybe I'm just picky, I dont know. But this makes the story completely unreadable for me. I'm actually a little upset, because in case i didn't make it clear, I LOVED the story itself. The style could use some work, and the author ought to either find a proofreader or stop ignoring edit suggestions, but by god does this story have heart.
I really do hope that MelosDelta reads this, and takes my suggestions into account, because I would like to finish reading the story eventually. It pains me that I am unable to, but not nearly as much as it would to read through another - njaloRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Overall a entertaining story with some fun character interaction, however the story is rather slow to pick up, and so far there were no real plot hooks one was waiting to be resolved, which makes the story less exciting. Although there are some long term goals. I also don't see any foreshadowing. I've read up to chapter 93 so far. I also think there could be some more detailed emotional character interaction and relationship developement, since that would avance the story besides the plot.
- gregarityRoyal Road★★★ 2.5It's... fine. I've enjoyed having this as something to read when I don't have the mental energy for something more complex. It's the literary equivalent of watching TV. Don't get me wrong, that's nice sometimes, but there's nothing special here. I won't remember this in a year.
It's got more sustain than many stories I've read in the progression fantasy genre. The pacing still suffers in the way that most all web fiction does, but for some reason I haven't gotten too bored after almost 150 chapters. It's long. There's a lot of it. I like that aspect.
I don't care much for the characters. The MC isn't very complex, on purpose, which sometimes works very nicely as a foil to the wider world (I wish this concept was explored more rather than hinted at), but often just leaves me wanting a little more depth. Her main companion is a bit of a sad fellow. He's not very motivated by anything, constantly doubts himself, and hasn't seen much character growth. C'mon author, you could make this a proper hypersigil real easily ;) Or at least one that does more than reinforce existing conditions.
There are very few typos. The overall writing style is fine. It neither elevates nor detracts from the story.
The plot is not particularly compelling. I am not confident in my own abilities as an author or critic, so I cannot say why, but I would guess that it's because it feels haphazard and without real stakes. One thing happens, then the next. Level up! Some of the characters express more emotion than in the usual story of this genre, I appreciate this greatly. But I want to see more! Higher highs and lower lows. Development in actual wisdom, not just [Wisdom].
I read the writing advice once that a good story needs not one, but three compelling ideas. This had one, in Hegel, but it was only shallowly referenced (repeatedly) until it became background noise.
Overall, if you're looking to fill time, give it a shot. Right now it's topwebfiction #1 for a reason. I won't recommend this to an
