Description

All realms have a pattern that defines their structure and the nature of their existence. Beast Realms have a Great Beast Mother, who is the avatar of the Realm's pattern, and Great Beasts to defend the Realm from external invaders. The Sirius Realm is a Beast Realm, but the Dragon Gods have sealed the Realm's pattern. They re-Named the Realm to the Ma Universe. The Great Beasts have all disappeared, and all Wolves are hunted as Demonic Beasts.

Now, the humans of the Dragon Seal Universe worship the Dragon Gods and the Daos. They practice Cultivation, in the hopes of becoming Immortals. The old practice of Coalescence is called a heretical art, and only Beasts practice it.

The humans of the Great Plateau have lived in nominal safety behind the Watch Towers, artifacts from the distant past. As their technology slowly advances, they travel from city to city and between nations in armored airships and steamer cars. They defend their walled cities with cannons and the might of their Cultivators, but their cities and nations can still fall at any time to an assault from waves of Ferocious Beasts, that rule the wilderness. Their existence is more precarious than they wish to admit

I am half human and half Great Wolf. I may be the last of the Great Wolves, and the only one to ever be born as Mortal, I must Coalesce my Power and Transcend Mortality. I live among humans, but I can never be one. If they find out what I am, they will kill me, but I still hunt those corrupted by the Powers from beyond my Realm. When I have the strength, I will break the Dragon Seal and free my Realm. I am the last protector of my Realm. The last one who might be able to cast out these invaders from beyond the Realm's boundaries.

Sincerely, this is one of those, it's either your favourite story or you hate it kind of situations, for all of this author's work.
I find it hard to review any one of them since to me they're all one big story. That said they're perfectly readable on their own. You only really see all the connections in retrospect. There's another review on here bashing the timescale, that's an example of something that makes perfect sense in the context of the other works.
Not for the faint of heart or the pearl clutching, that's for sure.If you're sick of reading about pussies written by pussies you'll enjoy this one :)

I tried not to fall asleep. As soon as I saw "A couple of Thousand years", I understood everything. Ruined my plans, so to speak. Perhaps there will be a good story next(and this will not be, although the text is not bad), but because of such jokes... I don't respect such people, even if they are writers, even if they are dreamers. I didn't rate the grammar because English is not my native language. Of course, let's compare wolves and dragons, and let's add tons of definitions that you should know before reading.
Sable frowned. "Only a bit over a hundred and seventy millennia."
Jones frowned. "Damn. Time flowed in a weird manner where I was. It didn't seem like any more than fifty-five to sixty millennia."
Sable laughed derisively. "Any more than fifty-five to sixty millennia. You talk about it like that's nothing. I waited for you for years, before giving up."
Some places are a good description, but some places completely ignore the nature of the "Wolf".
Various mergers of something out there that you may hear for the first time. Let's see what the word "Israel"means"? No, no, it sounds like something in your native language "Reverse burper":) Why don't you understand? It is so well known, for every passer-by, ye?
