Description

Six types of magic. Five vast kingdoms. One small-town witch.

Little Velvet had been reading tales of great wizards and witches of Rumerra’s past, dreaming of seeing her name alongside them. But Rumerra is not the world of fairy tales she has fantasized about her entire life.

The young witch will have to endure a grueling journey of self-discovery if she hopes to become a legend like the heroes in her storybooks—a journey one can not complete on their own. From the frigid tundra of the Frozen North to the craggy hills of Eldrasit, mercenaries, dragons, and other dangers lie ahead in a land where good and evil are not easily distinguished.

There are countless mysteries this vast world conceals. An entire race has disturbingly vanished from the history books for reasons unknown. Kingdoms are divided after a great war that ended not fifty years prior. And things are brewing in the shadows that not even the Grand Magus himself observes.

Velvet must be vigilant. Not everyone is as trustworthy as she once believed, and she mustn't allow the darkness to snuff out her light.

Rumerra is a fantastic story with lots of love and care radiating from every detail. The characters are well written, the world is expertly crafted, and the writing keeps you turning the page, so to speak. I highly recommend this story from this super talented author. Five stars, can’t wait for more.

This story is Adventure, Slide-of-Life, and Comedy rolled into one. The MC gets through a tough life and goes to magic school with her best friend. The best stories are one that focus on characters, and this one does so with a crafty blend of a dangerous world with a fairytale story vibe. The MC is enchanting, as she bulldozes her way to setting records, yet the story also does a great job making the main characters lovable. It is a diamond in the rough.
