Rumble in the Rockies

Dillon Hodges is an amateur autoduellist with a penchant for driving to win and ignoring his gunner.  Nico "Basher" Battaglia, former champion autoduellist needs a crew to compete in the Dead Man's Run, a multi-state road rally with a ten-million-dollar prize. When Basher decides to sponsor Dillon for the rally, the young driver has to learn how to work as part of a team if he wants to win.  He and his new gunner, Kayla Battaglia, have to negotiate treacherous roads, crazy cycle gangs, unfriendly teammates, and an adversary group that is out for blood in order to complete this first leg from Denver to Salt Lake City.

Set in the Car Wars universe, this is the first book in the Mountain West division for the Dead Man's Run, a countrywide road rally.  Each city sponsors a team of cars to compete for a ten million dollar prize.  The rally consists of 3 legs, with the final leg ending in Sturgis, South Dakota.  I will be releasing a chapter a week, and I'm looking for feedback from readers.  The series will be published by Three Ravens Publishing, who hold the rights from Steve Jackson Games to publish Car Wars fiction.  Check out their web page for other Car Wars books in the Dead Man's Run series; Burning Roads, 72 Hours to Graceland, Marathon of Madness, and Dead to Rights.
