Tesilim spends his final days on a dying Earth, struggling against hunger, a force tsunami, and the shadow of an approaching Eldritch God. Just when survival seems impossible, fate tears him into another world.

As Tesilim adapts to his second chance at life, he must master magic, battle monsters, and stand against dimensional incursions. Yet the greatest challenge may not be the looming Eldritch threat… but the chaotic powers bubbling inside him.
Because when his magic misfires, things getweird. Think turning into a goat. Breaking into uncontrollable song. Farting at the worst possible moment. With a table of randomness dictating his fate, every victory comes with a price—and a laugh.
Join Tesilim on a journey of peril, power, and pure absurdity as he stumbles toward saving a world that might not survive his magic.

- Lucian T. EinarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall:
"Novaris: Adventure in the Shattered Fang Continent" presents a captivating and original story that combines elements of high fantasy and apocalyptic themes. The narrative follows the journey of Tesilim and a young girl through a world facing imminent destruction by an Eldritch God. The innovative use of dice outcomes and reader-driven directions adds a unique twist to the storytelling, engaging readers familiar with games like Dungeons & Dragons. The character development is a strong point, with believable and flawed characters promising exciting growth and evolution as the story progresses. With some minor edits for readability and pacing, this narrative has the potential to attract a robust following eager to see the unfolding events.
Style:
The story starts with a bang, introducing creative concepts and engaging readers with a mix of humor and high stakes. The dense info dumps could benefit from more breaks to enhance readability and engagement. The interactive elements involving dice outcomes and reader-driven directions provide a fresh and exciting approach to storytelling. The world-building is intricate, painting a vivid picture of a post-apocalyptic setting and engaging readers with a mix of fantasy and sci-fi elements. The descriptive language and detailed scenes immerse readers in the unfolding events, creating a sense of anticipation and intrigue.
Story:
The narrative unfolds with a blend of classic fantasy adventures and post-apocalyptic themes, following the journey of Tesilim and a young girl in a world on the brink of destruction. The introduction of an Eldritch God and the impending apocalypse sets the stage for a high-stakes adventure filled with mystery and danger. The incorporation of magic systems, diverse quests, and character growth adds depth to the storyline, keeping readers engaged and eager to discover what lies ahead. The gradual build-up towards the Isekai element adds a layer of suspense and anticipation, setting the stage for - luck314271Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story begins with 33 chapters of backstory and worldbuilding. While that might sound tedious, Mirplet manages to make them surprisingly engaging through humor, intriguing mysteries, and even some early character development that pays off later.
Once the main plot kicks off in chapter 34, the tone shifts into a cheerful adventure as the main character learns to navigate his new world. Beneath the lighthearted surface, there are darker undertones and ongoing mysteries that keep you guessing. One of the most unique aspects of the novel is the use of real dice rolls to decide certain events — even the author can’t fully predict what will happen. This chaotic twist led to several genuinely funny moments and, in my opinion, adds to the charm and originality of the story.
The pacing is well-balanced. Repetitive moments, like training arcs, are kept brief but not skipped entirely, while adventures and battles get enough space to feel meaningful without dragging on for multiple chapters.
The characters are another highlight. Each one has their own personality, goals, and flaws, making them feel like real people rather than just archetypes filling a role. The main cast is diverse and distinct, and as the story goes on, we gradually learn more about them in satisfying ways.
Finally, the grammar and spelling are excellent, which makes the story very easy to read. Whether this is due to later edits or the author’s skill from the start, it makes a big difference in the reading experience.
Overall, this is a great read that I’ve enjoyed enough to recommend to friends — and I gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun yet thoughtful adventure story. - morphiwritesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story captivates with an original and intriguing premise that enhances as it unfolds, drawing the reader deeper with each chapter. The concept of using dice to determine story outcomes resonates well, particularly for those familiar with games like Dungeons & Dragons, embodying the ethos of living by the dice. This interactive element, alongside reader-driven directions, adds a unique twist, though it carries risks if not executed properly.
Character development is a strong point, with a cast that is not only interesting but also believable and flawed, providing ample room for growth and evolution throughout the story. Their distinct personalities and clear developmental arcs promise an exciting journey of transformations, likely enriching the story further as it progresses.
Overall, the foundation is set for a potentially captivating series that blends humor and high stakes with interactive storytelling elements. With some minor edits for readability and pacing, this narrative could attract a robust following eager to see how the dice will fall. I look forward to more chapters and am optimistic about the story's development, eager to see how the innovative use of dice impacts the unfolding narrative. - Eternal EmperorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story starts with a BANG! As a Deity wants to savor its hunger through the consumption of Earth. The concept that are introduced in the beginning are creative and interest catching.
My favorite part of the story however was when we get introduced to Tesilim, as the post apocalyptic starts it immediately gave me the vibes of 2000's apocalyptic zombie manga's. I enjoyed those parts the most.
While the Isekai part of the story takes a while to come, it doesn't bore you nor do you wish it skipped forth. It slowly but nicely builds towards it. - nauvengamerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I really like the premise. Interesting read so far, and gets much better as the story progresses.
My major knock against the style is the dense info dumps that are a bit dense to read. Something to break them up would be greatly appreciated, but nothing worth more than losing a star over. I do think several lines could be combined into more paragraphs, but that is more a nitpick than an actual flaw.
The grammar is fairly solid, a few minor errors, and a bit much on punctuation in a few spots. Nothing that detracts from the story.
I like the story. Very nice premise, I see the vote chapters and find the concept interesting. Look forward to more as the story progresses. I am a bit concerned how could impact the story depending on how it is handled, but i think the idea of dice outcomes deciding story elements to be very fun as I am an avid DnD fan. Live by the dice, die by the dice.
The characters are interesting. I like them as a whole, and find them believable so far, which I enjoy. They have clear flaws and personality, so there is clear room for them to grow and develop. Really look forward to the story from here! - LonjanisRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Really fun premise. The universe quickly feels vast and interesting.
I think there could be some really fun both serious and tongue in cheek stories to come out of this fiction. I will be following however it definitely needs some small readability edits.
In particular the curse of every writer. Commas! Too many commas. They steal the flow of the story all throughout chapter one. - Veri MerriRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I really love the idea of a story told with some added screwballs like dice rolls for events and letting the readers add a little direction here and there. It can certainly be detrimental if not handled well, but the potential positives outweigh the negatives if it's handled well, I think.
So far, having read up to the first voting page, I've been enjoying what's here. The writing is solid and story so far is definitely a fun and intriguing setting.
My only complaints so far - which are very minor in the grand scheme of things here - is the sheer amount of narration info dumping without other scenes to break it up, as well as a potential over use of date breaks, even though though do feel quite useful. But otherwise, I like the potential shown so far. - Lurker657Royal Road★★★ 2.5I enjoyed the start, including the lore dump as it was pretty interesting, as well as the first half of the "non-litrpg isekai" chapters. What I didn't like was when I felt like every chapter turned into telling not showing, where it felt like I was reading a historical text on what happened to the main characters as opposed to reading what is currently happening. It feels like a way of speed running lore and character development to get to whatever next plot beat we're sprinting towards. Also some personal pet peeves writing style wise, such as MC ending almost 1 in 3 sentences with a "!?" as well as certain phrases being repeated such as "Needless to say" being used twice in 4 lines of text to start off sentences.
