I think this story is a must have. It has an amazing storyline, not too fast not too slow, with realistic characters and an incredible eye for detail. The scenes are beautiful described as well. I've read many books but seldom I've read such a good book as this one is. If you love reading medieval fantasy this is a book you'll absolutely enjoy. Another thing that adds realism to the story is the romance and the (sometimes problematic) relationships of characters in the book. In this book romance plays an important role in motivation of certain people at certain times. Overall, it's a very well-written story you should absolutely read

First and foremost, it's a pleasant read even with some character decisions that I can't get behind. Except that it's solid.
Style: Definitely easy to read, straightforward and clear. The scenes flow into each other naturally, sometime not logically though. No infodumps so far... So, Good job, author.
Grammar: Fine! I am bad at it myself, why should I frown at others?
Character: Multiple leads, which means POV switches here and there, but never ruins Immersion. Some decisions taken by the characters might come off as odd or illogical or inexperienced or too experienced considering their ages, as it did to me. Aside that, they are solid, with well-defined characteristics. There are quiet a lot of characters introduced early on, but I never got lost, so another thumbs-up to the author.
Story: Well and carefully constructed. World building is there, you can feel it as you read more and more. Some repetition once in a while which drives home the point because our brain constantly forget things.
That's it. That's all I have to say. Good read, will recommend.

This is a story I can get behind, with a mix of the cultivation trope and medieval feudal setting... the power increases are believable and enjoyable (which is something I often find troubling in stories like these, and cause me to stop reading). Very clean prose style as well, like easy to read but still with a decent flow, focusing on the action.

A gritty action story that reminds me of Dumas’s Three musketeers.
The Author weaves a tale of tragedy and loss, redemption, intrigue, but with human elements that lend each character appeal. There are many facets to the story from revenge, mentorship, filial piety, young love and of course action and adventure.
I recommend this story to any who love high fantasy with a traditional heroes journey.
looking forward to where the story goes next.

The strongest point I think, about this novel are the character interactions. Each character introduced is fleshed out, and vividly personified. I would often find myself smiling during the dialogues, and generally feel immersed in the world itself. Supporting this is that the author shows and doesn't tell or describe the narrative and world. There are no info dumps, heavy descriptions, or useless details. The writing is concise, and precisely adds depth without boring me. Additionally, the narrative actually makes sense, and previously unrelated plot points become backstories, or are included in other areas, and so build the world like this, rather than in descriptions. I also have not ran into any particular tropes that would push away readers. Overall this is a quality take on the medieval fantasy background, and I await further chapters.

The story is really great and pulled me in like a black hole after the first chapter. Sometimes the flashbacks were a bit tiring to read because I wanted the story to progress but if I'm being honest, those just add to the story. All in all really beautiful characters, romance, action and very descriptive. The world building isn't the best I ever read but is still decent.
Love the story and hope it will continue like it has.

So, I want to start off by saying that I was immediately drawn to the cover as well as the synopsis. I found the cover to be visually striking, and it stood out amongst the myriad of new books popping up every day. The blurb is nice and concise and gives just enough information to pique the reader's interest.
Style: 4/5. The reason I docked points here is because there are several inconsistencies in formatting. First, there are several different methods of indicating the character's thoughts, which threw me off. I can get used to a different format beyond italics, but the variation was off-putting. Second, the author occasionally switches between simple past tense and present tense. I would recommend sticking completely with one or the other instead of attempting to blend them. Beyond these issues, the rest of the writing is neatly formatted and easy to follow along with.
Grammar: 4/5. There a number of typos and missing words, but the greater issue was punctuation. There were many instances of missing punctuation or unneeded commas. All of this would be easily caught by running the story through an editing software. I personally use Grammarly, but I think any common ones could really help polish this up! It was by no means deal breaking, but there were common enough issues for it to detract from my experience.
Story: 5/5. I love stories like this. I'm a sucker for an underdog story about someone striving for vengeance. As a romance writer, I'm also a sucker for the strong romantic hints that came up even early on. Nicely done, author!
Character 4.5/5. I think the author did a decent job creating solid personalities for Faust and the Baron, but some of the other characters felt a bit one dimensional. It's really tough to convey PTSD or emotional distress of any kind, but I felt the author did a decent job with this. My only complaint was that we went straight into a traumatic incident with setting the reader up with any emotional investment. Like yes, I can feel sad

I like the story so far, the characters are well written, likeable and believable. Lots of intrigue building up at this point. Hints at antagonists that may be great. The orcs generally are a good first villain, I personally would have liked MC to single out the look of some of the orcs to make it more individual. So he would generally speaking hate Orcs but have a checklist later on to satisfy us when MC kills them later on. Orcs bad doesn't have the same punch. but I'm nitpicking
no payoffs so far but I am not very far into the story. I like it so far. Reserving full marks for when the action and villains appear. Lots of promise here.

Style: The dialogue is concise and well-written, conveying the personalities of the characters. The descriptions are also vivid and paint a picture in the reader's mind. Many of the actions or scenes are described with easy-to-picture details. The story could benefit from more exposition and internal thought that is embedded in the narrative through the narrator's voice. The transition between past and present is also a dynamic way to introduce the story. While some readers may find it difficult to begin a story with two different times, there is a benefit to jumping right into this, as it is very interesting. Overall, I like the style of the writing in that it is very descriptive and clearly shows the action. It would be nice to get deeper into the character's thoughts and voice.
Grammar: It appears that the author has been editing for grammar. There seems to be a lot of improvement.
Story: The story is action-packed and evokes so much emotion. It is clear that the author has planned out where the story is headed and has given the reader plenty of plot points early on to be excited about. Without giving away any spoilers, I can say that what the characters experience will have you on the edge of your seat, or have your stomach tied in knots for them. The story sequence is well done and the plot shows great promise.
Characters: The relationship between the characters as well as their individual traits shine in the story. In the opening chapter, the traumatic events that Faust experiences immediately bonds the reader with him and creates sympathy for what he has experienced. The emotions are shown well and it's easy to imagine how he must be feeling. More insight into Faust's thoughts during the traumatic events could heighten this empathy even more. In later chapters as other characters are introduced, it is nice to see the clear emotion they have for one another, and how their relationships begin to develop.
Overall, this is a great story that I look forward to rea

The story starts well and the plot and character development are solid. There are a lot of twists and turns to keep one interested in reading more. The world building is slow to start but comes together nicely so the reader doesn't get too lost in the plot twists. I look forward to a exploring this expanding world.
