Reverse of the Rain

Description
He is the son, the moon, and the life of the blue planet. He was born, torn, and lonely, living his life in the dark shadow. Despite this, he stays calm and gazes at his beautiful blue mother and lovely little life inside. One day, his beloved mother implored him, saying, “My son, my rain, my tears, please save her.” And so, he was reborn, but in the name of a Cursed Child. He has no power, magic, authority, or even the right to live. He must gather bricks and stones to construct his own tower, assembling allies to combat the cruel magic world that devours the world within.
The towers stilled, stood tall. The fire, wind, earth, and water revered as the rule in this world. However, a shadow glowed and crawled its way into the depths of people’s hearts, transforming them into darkness. The lord of the black tower emitted a power that could have granted any wish to all who sought it. The only requirement was to raise your hand and utter the words, “I accept the wish.” Then, the all will become you.

- Ana87Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall
This story offers a unique experience with a very original magical background. From the very first chapter the reader is drawn into the action. There are some rather ambiguous elements in the plot that are revealed little by little. However, the strength of the novel is in its characters, especially, Rain, the protagonist, and it is very difficult not to love him from the beginning.
Story
The story contains some very dark moments, but they are also combined with elements of humor and warmth. Something to highlight is how the author handles the cliffhangers that incite you to continue reading to unravel the mysteries behind Rain's identity and the intentions of the rest of the characters. The magic system is solid and with each new chapter we learn more about it. Some plot points come across as ambiguous and are difficult to follow but that at the same time this adds a dreamlike charm to the story, in addition to the beautiful and vivid descriptions.
Style
The style combines lively moments of action with rich descriptions that capture both the magical and the everyday. The dialogue is very enjoyable and there is an abundance of onomatopoeia that adds an interesting sound effect to the narrative. It's as if you were really listening to the characters.
Character
There are characters in the story that are more lovable than others but none lack complexity and as the story progresses we learn more about them. Rain shines as the protagonist and as for the others there are moments when they may seem cold or unfriendly but as the story progresses we get to know other sides of them.
Grammar
As a non-native speaker I don't dare to say much in this regard. From time to time I find grammatical errors but the author's effort in wanting to improve his writing is noticeable and as the story progresses it gets better and better. Don't let this stop you from reading it as it won't be much of an inconvenience.
Congratulations, Furies.Eden for this epic and endearing story!! Ke - Master-at-armsRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5STYLE
The story is written neatly and nicely. It's not done horribly. Although I don't really like the book for it's style.
STORY
The story follows a young man who had been in some kind of special prison all his life, not because he had deserved it but because he was born there. He ends up breaking out ofcourse, and eventually starts to travel alongside a heroic party on their way to save the world. The "Skills" some characters use are not really all that well-defined. At this point I don't really know much though, but I think it'll be explained soon enough. I personally like the story; it is enjoyable.
GRAMMAR
There are a few errors, and sometimes it's not completely clear if someone's thinking something or it's part of the prose. But I'm not one to judge; there are grammatical errors in some places of my story. I recommend correcting them one by one.
CHARACTER
The characters are fun, witty and great! I love their interactions. I can't really give a negative comment on that part; it was alright to me.
OVERALL
The story is easy to read and follow, even though there are a few spelling errors. There is also well-drawn art depicting some of the characters, it adds depth to the reading experience in my opinion. - N-ShadeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Let me say, I love this story. It is a well written story in adventure genre. If your thing is to read a story where the MC hangs out with a group of people, try this out.
The story is formatted quite well. The monologue switch is done quite skillfully pulled off. And the image references in between is pretty good. You can see the efforts and time invested by the author.
The story is cool. I feel sad for Rain, the cursed child, he's an intriguing character. I loved Aria a lot. We have multiple side characters, Eeon, Faye, Ella all of these add an interesting flair to the story. There's a well built magic system of this world and multiple titles like God's whisperer, our classic- The chosen one, witches and many other. I love the abilities. Like Verity eyes of Rain, they're so cool and out of the box, definitely one of the most unique abilities I've ever read. In the starting I agree it's not much hooking and it is a slow paced story but eventually it's addicting and the humorous scenes- oof I love em'!
I would recommend the author to revise the story. There are not much grammatical errors but a few words might be missing, else everything's good.
So, yes it's a lengthy story ( slow burn maybe?) but it's worth your time.
Happy reading~~
Oh and, here's a star- ✨(Stars can be a fandom sign for this story, no?) - Ring MasterRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story starts with a boy trying to escape away from the people of a church(prison?). Anyway he is trying to escape as he was born inside the prison and since he was born inside the prison, it was his home, right? He should spend his whole life there. That's what church thought. But the boy, Rain, had his own brain. And he knew how to use it. So he decided to say fuck off to his captives and escaped.
However, his luck was not that great. He was found by a lady. And when he was about to be dragged to the prison. He decided pull a trick that caught the girl off guard.
Positives: I like the story. The plot is interesting and ingaging, makes you want to know more. I also love the illustrations that author put between the chapters. The characters are unique and have their own traits. Especially Rain. He is such a good character. Born inside a prison. Tortured. And escaped to get his freedom. Nicely done author.
Negatives: The biggest problem is the grammer. The sentence structures are a bit wierd. However, as you continue to read it starts to get better and better. One can see the effort that author has put into the story.
Why are you still reading the review? Read the book! - TheHofferRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Reverse of the Rain is a story with a lot of heart in it. You can feel the characters like they're real people not the tropes they represent, so it's fun to follow their adventures even if not a whole lot happens at the beginning. It kinda feels like an adventure, slice of life.
Style: The style shifts perspectives a bit too much but there were times where I didn't feel like there were enough differentiators for me to know whose perspective we shifted to. It could be a bit jarring at times and it took me a minute to get my immersion back.
Grammar: The grammar suffered from some tense issues that really detracted from the story, but these started to diminish as the story moved forward. It might be worth it for the author to go back and re-edit the first couple of chapters. I noticed they're writing has improved tremendously as they've gone and they would probably have valuable new skills to apply.
Story: This is where the book shines. The story is interesting with a world that feels like there is a ton lurking beneath the surface. The characters are trying to save the world and there are all these terms and skills we haven't learned about yet. It's a lot of fun reading and watching the world grow.
Character: This book pivots around its characters. The cast is cozy and loveable with a lot of interactions that shows most of them have known each other for awhile and have gotten used to traveling together. When they add a new member, it's fun to watch that new personality bounce off of everyone else and have everyone in the group slowly warm up to him.
It was an enjoyable read with a few errors that might make it less accessible for some readers, but ultimately, quite fun to read. If you like a quirky band of adventurers and a mysterious fantasy type world, this story is for you.
P.S. This author also is an artist and includes some of their own creations in the story and it really adds to the experience.
