"Why, Ash..?"Asael Kian Ravenwood asked the figure standing before him with his voice shook, a sword piercing his heart, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, staining the signature robes of the strongest sorcerer of that era.

"There is no reason, Kian… only that your existence stands in the way of my ultimate goal,"Ashen Vilebane replied with a sinister smile.

With the sword withdrawn from his heart, blood gushed out, causing Asael Kian to cough up crimson and collapse onto the ground littered with corpses.

From the distance, through his blurred vision, a figure approached.

"ASAEL?!"the voice cried out, calling my name, kneeling down and cradling my weakening body. My vision was fading, yet one thing remained vividly clear—a stormy grey chain glimmering before my eyes—before my world turned dark, swallowed by the anguished cries of the one holding my cooling body...
