Description
Deep in the mountains, a frail man lies on a plain bedroll, in a simple hand-made temple, idly pondering where things might go from here.Even as his final breaths escape him, the man seems more alive than most.
[Congratulations! As the first Sapient to reach minimal necessary understanding of The Ways, The Lives, and The Fates, you have been chosen to guide this solar system as it's Shepard!]
With a final sigh, the man's life fades away and is lost to the gentle rain and whistling wind flowing through the mountains.
It is this sigh which heralds the dawn of a new age for earth and its denizens.

- BoomDiggityRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is going to be the start of something exciting!
Coming off of the first arc (episodes 1-13), I had a really fun time following the characters in their unfamiliar world!
Overall Score: 4.9 / 5
This fiction is a delight to read through and I highly recommend anyone to binge through it! The entire first arc is a rollercoaster of emotions that I never expected coming into it!
Style Score: 4.5 / 5
The style of the story starts off rough with its format, but that is solved by chapter 9. At first, following the text was my only issue with the fiction, but once that was changed, I breezed through the chapters without struggle. The author's ability to describe the world without meticulously getting too in-depth with everything helped me create an image of what was going on (which I struggle a lot doing with other stories).
Story Score: 5 / 5
The story for the first half is really well put together and easy to follow. Everything flowed really well, and I didn't have a hard time trying to figure out how we got to that point. A leads to B, B causes C, which then brings us back to A, which leads to D. The author really thought things through, and it was so much fun following along!
Grammar Score: 4.5 / 5
This was definitely the author's greatest challenge. There were a lot of typos and improper usage of apostrophes throughout.
Character Score: 5 / 5
Oh boy, the characters were the best part of this story! I love everything about them, including their major flaws! I never felt like they fell under any clichés or character tropes, and they always felt like well-put-together and thought-out real people. Their interactions felt like those I'd have with my friends! The villains too, oh man, they're such a joy to read. Heirloom and Vijan felt like a breath of fresh air when it came to the typical fantasy villains. To understand, you HAVE to give it a read.
I only wish that the author took a deeper dive into the stats function they mentioned in the earlier chapters! Hopefull
