Requiem has relaunched!Read it here.

In a world ruled by churches, Caelum finds himself twisted in an age-old tale that turns his entire life upside down: The Prophecy of the Perished One. Forced to become someone shackled by inevitable death, Caelum does everything in his power to rewrite destiny, save his loved ones, kingdoms, and even realms. To accomplish this, one would have to become a Great Rebel, and defy the Gods, churches, and Angels who have preordained this fate.

The Requiem of the Perished One follows our rather fortunate (and unfortunate MC), Caelum. Being born into a rich family, a rather tragic approach toward Caelum's character is taken as he desires to be more... human.
Style: Very well written story containing great imagery and informative dialogue. I say informative not mainly because of the dialogue itself (which is smooth) but because of how the author describes the characters who are saying what words and how they are doing so
Story: The early chapters take place in an urban fantasy in a country called Deneve. Out of the gate, there are many conversations exhibiting high intellect between various characters who are among the most influential or recognized individuals in Deneve. For me, I've always found political dynamics in stories, so I find the story very interesting so far. Expect a lot of dialogue in the early chapters
    Grammar: Looks good to me
Character: The trickiest character to rate because I have so little to go off of. But for now, I really like how the author has introduced multi-layered characters so far. Caelum, Declan, Helvega, and Lunar are all very interesting, and even a character like Dark (whose role doesn't appear to be as large, I won't spoil, but his relevance definitely has a spot in the story) intrigued me
Overall: This story has just begun releasing on RR, but I'd definitely give it a try

I think it is a sophisticated story that unfolds slowly with promises of land disputes, feuding families, political unrest, and religious wars. It is very large scale and sets up the events right away, allowing you to get a good look at what is to come. It is dark and moody, with a feel of royalty to it.
The author’s writing style is very elegant and puts a lot of emphasis on world-building. Usually, it is a bit difficult to get into a story that leads to world-building, but the author does a good job of making it a part of the dark backdrop to the events.
I will be updating as I go, but by chapter 4, it is set up to be a beautiful story.
I have not noticed any issues with grammar, although there are a couple of well-loved words.
The story features a wide variety of characters that are introduced right away, some clearly at the forefront of the story and others briefly mentioned but with the promise of returning. It is a bit difficult to say who the main character is by chapter 4, perhaps because there are many. I look forward to finding out who the prominent ones turn out to be.
Having said that, I would love to see the author give each individual character more of a unique voice that makes their dialogue more recognizable from one another. I am definitely open to it, just being too early to tell, however. This is the only thing that I would give a partial rating for, but again, open to changing my mind as I go.

The Requiem of the Perished One is a unique and well-written title that captivates from the start.
Style: The author’s ability to vividly describe every detail and bring it to life is exceptional. The characters feel alive, and the world feels lived in. The author excels in world-building, seamlessly blending past and present to set the stage for future events.
Story: The plot unfolds in an intriguing urban setting with a splash of fantasy. The blend of magic and machinery is particularly appealing and promises interesting developments. The story shines in its political dynamics within the country of Deneve, showcasing the author’s thoughtful world-building, which is the story’s strongest aspect.
    Grammar: Flawless.
Characters: The story follows two brothers, Caelum and Vaelen, who share a fascinating dynamic that I hope the author explores further. Their relationship is well-written and convincing, feeling like real siblings. Their bond with their mother is also emotionally resonant. Helvega, the older sister, has a classic older sister-younger brothers relationship with them, which I adore. The supporting characters serve their roles well, and I’m excited to see where their arcs lead.
Overall, The Requiem of the Perished One is a high-quality story with excellent world-building and rich dialogue. Highly recommended!
