I was genuinely impressed with the story, particularly in how it incorporated elements of Hindu culture and mythology. These cultural aspects added a unique flavor to the narrative and helped it stand out from other stories in the genre. Surya’s character was undoubtedly the highlight of the volume. He was well-developed, and his personal struggles and growth were portrayed in a compelling way that kept me engaged throughout.
The grammar and writing style were solid, and even though the chapters were relatively short, the pacing worked well in building momentum. The action scenes were engaging, and the internal conflicts added depth. However, one of my main criticisms is that, aside from Surya, the other characters felt underdeveloped and flat. There was little emotional connection to anyone else, which made it hard to stay fully invested in the larger story.
Additionally, while the story's premise was intriguing and the trials were enjoyable to read through, the buildup didn’t quite deliver on its promise. The final boss or challenge, in particular, felt anticlimactic and lacked the intensity or payoff I was hoping for.
Overall, the story has real potential, especially with its strong protagonist and cultural themes, but it would benefit greatly from more well-rounded supporting characters and more satisfying narrative payoffs.
